Beanie Sigel & Lil Wayne In Legal Trouble
Rapper Beanie Sigel will surrender next week to face charges in a dispute over a rental car, his attorney said.
Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, rented a 2007 Nissan Altima from Payless Car Rental in southwest Philadelphia in July, investigators said. The car was due back on Aug. 13, but Sigel did not return it in time or contact the rental company, police said.
Hip-hop artist Lil’ Wayne, who is expected to perform at next weekend’s BET Hip-Hop Awards show in Atlanta, was arrested Friday on a felony warrant stemming from a drug possession charge, authorities said.
It’s not clear whether Carter’s drug possession charge stems from inside Fulton County. Spokespeople for the Atlanta and Fulton County police departments, as well as the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, could not determine late Saturday night whether their agencies issued the warrant for Carter.
Damn I think rappers may need babysitters.

Also when it comes to Wayne’s situation isn’t there a process to inform someone if there is a warrant out for them? One that doesn’t involve you finding out when they see you and cuff you on the spot. I mean Wayne isn’t hiding from being arrested shit hes everywhere. Is there no way that he can be contacted to say hey theres charges that you must address and may want to come in to resolve?

they issue warrants when u fail to pay tickets, fines, or fail to make it to court. most niggas know they have warrants or that they might have one. it happens all the time where u get pulled over and arrested for having a warrant.

I’m not so sure about that. I remember once when my mother and I went on a road trip to Vermont we got pulled over and apparently she had an unpaid ticket which they wanted to lock her up for. Thing is we live in Canada how the hell were we supposed to know?
Lil Wayne isn’t hiding why didn’t the warrant info get passed to his lawyer or even escalated? I doubt they would have ignored it if they had. I don’t know the full details but summin isn’t right…. 1+1 isn’t = 2 right about now. (don’t anyone try and say its 11 either lol)

My damn uncle was arrested for possession of cocaine (3.5 grams, an eighth) and he got throw straight to prison, two years, no bail. now thats some shit. just cuz he aint a super star. fuckin corruption.
