The 1st song isn’t a good look. She need to fall back to that broken silence sh!t… the track w/ mavado don’t sound great but it ain’t bad.

OY! I got mad love for Foxy Brown no doubt, “lights go out” is okay for me but I feel the track was missing style plus tighter flows.. and the hook really did’nt bring it home!

“we’re on Fire” is much better in my opinion, her raps really got that gully swagger that i love about Foxy.. but Mavado did not bring it on the hook at all.. it’s just weak period!

THE BEATS: could have brought both tracks up a notch if they had been better exicuted. they seem standart level, plus it did’nt sound like a real pro-mix..!?
In all i think it was aight, nothing crazy..

they were ok, id play the track to support, and yea, she was a bit lil kimish on that second track, but she used to do that back in the day too. most of the female MCs from NY sound alike to me.

From listening to these 2 tracks I would say they are O.K. I’d like to see what the whole thing sounds like.

“Lights Go Out” reminds me of Diddy’s, “Last Night.” Nevertheless, it’s a potential radio hit.

“We’re On Fire” aint bad either. I’m just glad she left Shyne’s flow alone.

Everybody wants to hate on Fox and compare her to Kim… you have to remember that they both are from somewhat simular areas in NY, and both began to gain fame around the same time (they were friends at some point)…It’s inevitable that they honed their styles and flow delivery somewhat collectively!

Fox is hot, i cant wait for her full comeback so she can show these rap b*tch@s who really runs shit. Clearly “Lights Go Out” is for the radio & “We’re On Fire” is for da hood Foxy will always be #1 in my book…Over 20 million sold worldwide no other female rapper can proclaim such notoriety and fame
FOX IS BACK BITCHES (and she aint goin nowhere)

“We on Fire” is Gutta and “Lights Go Out” is Hip-Pop.. foxy is serving the game with both styles, she is following a diff. forumla.. and she is very versatile and flexible with her flows. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!

best female rapper in NY. I’ve heard her spit crazy freestyles on hot97 a few years back too.

Lookin forward to her new album too!

YO Foxy’s new joint lights go out is fire….It’s for the club…she knows exactly whats she’s doing. I understand where some people is coming from where they say she need to be hood…but hood is not selling her albums or making her platnium…she on some new shit called strtegy that other people need to be up on….it’s foxy’s turn!

Foxy’s flow is incomparable at this point in the rap game. She simply has presence on the mic that only she and Kim can really bring. Rap dudes respect Fox so you know she’s doing something right. Drop the album Fox because I’ll be getting it for sure.
