oi, the sample kanye uses comes from the intstrumental at the end of “back at one” by brian mcknight! i think the sample and the song is hot! the hook that babyface sings is pure magic

This song will be a hit… all of the ladies that I have given this record to choose this as their fave track. I can say that wayne’s flow is pretty wack throughout the record but on this gem he rocks it, keeps it simple and makes the point. Kanye’s usage of the sample from Gladyss Kninght’s “The way we were” was a very risky and creative choice, and he brings it. and I eally don’t like anyone on this song other than Baby so this saying something. The David Banner track “LA LA” and Swizz’s “Dr. Carter” with the jazz samples are my faves. Fun + matches Weezy’s style. but his flow is pretty horrible throughout, thank Banner, Swizz, Kanye and them, they made this sh*t pop…

I think, to be honest, he didn’t do this song for its lyrics, he wrote it for what he always writes for. His audience. I hate to say it, but it’s a ladies song, c’mon babyface? Be serious. & all this rappin` bout what a lame rapper he is in comparison to Jay-Z, they are two COMPLETELY different rappers with different lyrical styles. That’s like comparing Papoose to Lil` Jon. Wayne is from the South, Hova is from the North, and believe it or not, music is madd diff between the two. They BOTH are decent rappers, it just depends on your location & your preference. & I like both, Jay-Z is better though lyrically, but Wayne has kept popularity EVERYWHERE, whereas Hova generally isn’t really popular in the south. So all the niggas out here jockin` wayne, yo, you are only makin` his paper thicker… because you just pushed PLAY to listen to the mans song, which is supporting him regardless.

& it’s whatever really, rappers are rappers, just another way of makin bread.
