We are all hypocrites in our own right, but lets keep it 100%. The song is not exemplifying anything "positive" about being hood and if you listen to breakdown of why they are saying they're "So Hood" (I wear my pants below my waist....And if you get closer to my house") they are all but letting you know that they are "Hood" because they are ignorant and proudly glorifying that. If you like the song for what it is then why not just say that instead of trying to spin and/or describe your upbringing and your victories over the "Hood life" to show us why you enjoy the song. I like the song because the beat is hot and the chorus is catchy. Sorry but its true. Do I think it is an ignorant song? Hell yes but hey I'm keeping it 100% with all of you and myself. And is it poisoning the minds of our urban youth? Clearly that is proven; look at the responses he received from his own students. We need to stop justifying our own bs and figure out how we are going to go about changing our mindsets as a people otherwise I'm afraid that "I'm So Hood" is the just the beginning of the negativity that we begin to celebrate on going!
