those were hits? you got to be jokin me except for If i ruled the world that defined his career and brought him to the commercial crowd but that you owe me record and nas is like should have been on there yo nas aint real to me he’s been in the game for 13 years and he hasnt done anything significant for his crew or his career he’s bi-polar switches everytime just like the beef he had wit jigga (me personally i thought jay one cause he came wit facts and nas just came with anger) but the ppl think he won so on that note i give him the battle but he lost the war cause now he works for him loool what a sucker and whoever feels different eat a dick and choke on it and im not even hatin on nas i think he a very good lyrcist i just think he didnt materialize and do the right thing with interest he generated when the time he peak in his career like where are the bravehearts? they still in qb starvin that aint real to when your str8 you gotta set your crew str8 no matter and once again whoever disagrees can eat a dick and choke heavenily on it. true story
October 1st, 2007 at 4:40 pm

what the hell is Nas doing
October 1st, 2007 at 4:58 pm
that cover is hot….
October 1st, 2007 at 5:00 pm
I’m surprised he put “Ether” on there considering his current situation.
October 1st, 2007 at 5:14 pm
One hot album every 10 year average,
Nas been fell off.
October 1st, 2007 at 5:19 pm
Why is he copying Keyshia Cole’s album cover for her new album Just Like You
October 1st, 2007 at 5:22 pm
nas is lame and watchout……. who the fuck care about his greatest hit being in store….. more like his greatest bullshit…plus where is he at right now he no were close to being a consistant rapper in my eye…..but he has good lyric do let him fool ya.
October 1st, 2007 at 5:25 pm
nas could have made a way better greatest hit than this what about Made You Look and i know i can.
October 1st, 2007 at 5:40 pm
number 9, im not tryin to get on you but ‘made you look’ is on there homie.
October 1st, 2007 at 5:46 pm
nov 6????
how many albums does nas really expect to sell with American Gangster droppin the same day?
nas = 45,000
jay-z = 650,000
haha jay should hold bak nas’ new album jus for havin ether on there….its pretty sad that a diss record which is totally irrelevent now is on his greatest hits..says alot bout the artist
October 1st, 2007 at 5:47 pm
interesting date to put out the album for NaS
He is with Def Jam and JAY also got an album coming out on the same day…wassup with that?
Is it a smart business move for Jay? Are they tryna create some buzz? maybe a buzz with “Ether” on it too.
P.S. I don’t really need to get NaS Greatest Hits albums when I got all his albums. ALL HIS SONGS ARE GREATEST HITS. EVERY TRACK…maybe not every track haha but most of them…lol
forreal though. TOO LITTLE SONGS!! you got more GREATEST HITS than that…come on NaS! i’ll cop it if you make it a TWO-DISC CD

October 1st, 2007 at 5:49 pm
“Nas Greatest Hits” could be better than dat….
October 1st, 2007 at 5:59 pm
#11..Rocstar
All the songs he put on there doesn’t have to relevant for today. It’s about his PAST and what he has done in the past to make him the person he is today.
People can say He was known before “Ether”, but “Ether” really put NaS on a more wide range of audience and made him little more known. That song was a big part of his career, so I think he should put it on there
October 1st, 2007 at 6:18 pm
oooooooooooooooook… where the fuck is lifes a bitch???? this shit is bootleg
October 1st, 2007 at 6:35 pm
That shit is wack…*Smh* Nas’s Greatest Hits should be a double disc… and whats up with him Droppin AROUND the same time Jay is droppin…*SMH* Stupid move…he needs to drop in DECEMBER…a MONTH after JAy… but eh…yall know if this sells only like 200,000 copies…he is STILL gonna CAKE UP off this…So I guess it doesn’t even matter..
October 1st, 2007 at 6:54 pm
fuck what yall think Nas is a grown ass man plus his a legned, let him do what he want to do even if some of us dont feel its right , i cant judge Nas and i will get that shit its classic and i can t spend my money in something better than this
October 1st, 2007 at 7:01 pm
number 17, you said nas is a grown ass man…what the hell does that have anything to do with his wack album.
October 1st, 2007 at 7:06 pm
WHO THE FUCK MADE THIS TRACKLIST, BLEEK? I MEAN DAMN NO I GAVE U POWER,
October 1st, 2007 at 7:10 pm
He should of picked better tracks, where is ‘get down’, ‘memory lane’(my favorit Nas joint), ‘just a moment’ and also the ones already mentioned ‘lifes a bitch’ and ‘nas is like’. That would of been a dope compilation.
October 1st, 2007 at 7:16 pm
the little homie needs to reconsider a couple of these tracks. oochie wallie?
October 1st, 2007 at 7:42 pm
fuck that i like da tracklist its a classic nas is da greatest lyricists of all time…him and jay droppin da same day nas u aint gon sell shit homie but ima cop both albums cuz they both legends…
October 1st, 2007 at 8:02 pm
number 22, did you say nas is the greatest lyricists of all time are you crazy. i mean he cool but he not the greatest homie……you need to re-type that again.
October 1st, 2007 at 8:10 pm
I just got word that colombia put this whole thing together
October 1st, 2007 at 8:12 pm
obviously a record lable is gonna do what makes money
They buggin say Nastradamus just wasn’t one of my hardest//
Sold over a mill regardless//-Nas
Nastradamus did 1.2 mill
October 1st, 2007 at 9:25 pm
LMAO at him havin ETHER on there
October 1st, 2007 at 9:26 pm
I Am No Longer A Nas Fan! Nas is Like A Bitch That Keeps Cheating on Loyal Fans Who Are DumB Enough To Take Him Back!
October 1st, 2007 at 10:03 pm
yo this album is a joke. and i dont fuck wit nas all day like that no more but i consider myself a fan, and if u truly a fan u should already have all of those songs in your collection. i dont need to buy that cuz i have all of those joints on all of his albums and those are the songs i dont listen to.that cover is iight though but i aint buying that shit
oochie wally get tha fuck outta here, thats a commercial album thats not a real nas album
“is it black girl lost or shorty owe u 4 life?”
even jay a nas fan
October 1st, 2007 at 10:03 pm
why there alwayz gotta b haters? n people complaining bout wut songs shuld b on or if nas is still relevant..im not even a nas fan but u gotta recognize tha fact that he did his thing wen he came out and alotta rappers look up to him..so he must of done something good at some point.he’s obviously grown up n changed through tha years..that only means that he kept it real cuz his music changed along with his personality. if u like his shyt buy it, if not let him b
October 1st, 2007 at 11:03 pm
#26 Whiteboy
if he aint one of the greatest then who is in your book?
People always just say something but never give an explaination.
October 2nd, 2007 at 12:31 am
fuck outta here
wtf is up with homie?!
book of rhymes, dance, ny state of mind pt 2, i want to talk to you, nas is like, the world is yours, represent, affirmative action, come get me, stillmatic (intro) are all better than 80% of that track list…
agree with realtalk wtf is oochie wally and bridging the gap doing on a greatest hits album? plus i don’t need no new tracks, they never cut it on a greatest list…
the cover looks nice though…
imo nas needs a new illmatic/stillmatic or his career is over, his last 3 efforts have been average/weak
October 2nd, 2007 at 1:29 am
nothin’ from he Firm era? anything from Nastradamus on here?
I’d rather cop a DJ mix CD with the best Nas verses…
Nas was my favorite rapper until he started contradictin’ himself and puttin’ out bullsh*t. for instance Nastradamus,Streets Disciple,Hip Hop Is Dead…and how can you drop a classic then a follow-up classic It Was Written then drop that ‘I Am’ garbage???
Nas is WACK now-a-days!
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:06 am
This is the HATE that fuels Nas!!! He just had the last christmas no.1 album and he fell off??? He’s been around for like 14 years, he’s rich and married to Kelis! Obviously done very well for himself! What have you internet thugs done for yourself?? The only MC that cares about the lyrics and hiphop you bitches hear even though you HATE every chance you get!!!
Go pick up the next album like you supposed to Bitch!!! You know you just got curtis!!!
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:26 am
number 33, to be honet with you 2 pac, biggie, and jayz, are the greatest rapper of all time cause they were consistant in hiphop. they consistantly kept coming with album. plus jay-z is the richest rapper witch make him the best in my eye……..nas is not consistant in hiphop and he not up there with hov on the money side nor lyric. nas is good but hov, 2 pac, and biggie, are the greatest.
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:27 am
Nas is irrelevant, Fuck Nas
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:30 am
number 36, need to shut his dumb ass up.
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:58 am
nas did fall off and im a big fan he didnt stay consistant and he contridicted his self and didnt handle his carrer right but he one of the greatest lyricist andd if u dont respect him for wat he did for the game u dont respect hiphop he a legend tho at the end of the day but everybody can agree that this hits album is bullsh but he prolly aint even put it together u know that music polotic shhhhhhh
October 2nd, 2007 at 6:30 am
This album is releasing the same day as jay-z american gangsta
October 2nd, 2007 at 7:07 am
who buys greatest hits?
i’m a nas fan but he should of just drop an album
October 2nd, 2007 at 7:28 am
greatest hits means that u been in the game long enough to do such things. most artist that came out around the time nas did is either dead or in jail. give the dude credit. he is heavy in the game still and ppl like myself will always beast over whatever track that nas is on. nas practically raised you niggas, what the fuck yall talking about
October 2nd, 2007 at 7:29 am
Nas has nothing to do with the songs that are selected nor the release date…Know the business before you speak
When Nas left Columbia to go to Def Jam, Nas had one album left with Columbia, and the agreement was the remaining album would be a greatest hits album, with Nas contributing new tracks, hence the 2 new songs on this album…This is Nas completing his contractual agreement with Columbia…
With Columbia putting out his greatest hits album the same day as Jay’s studio album, they are simply trying to get extra sales on a greatest hits album, which traditionally don’t do big numbers anyway…. Anything Columbia gets on this album is just extra
October 2nd, 2007 at 7:54 am
Third /# 44., He should have stipulated in the contract that he have creative control/input on a project to be titled “GREATEST HITS” thats the worst excuse for a greatist hits album I have EVER seen.
He’s Not getting off the hook that easy. He always claims to be so intellegent but continues to make horrible business decisions/agreements. Guess he has nothing to do with the release of those fucking shoes either?
His Greatest hit right now would be to the jawline of aasshole that okayed this bullshit!
October 2nd, 2007 at 7:55 am
That is disappointing to true Nas fans that the Greatest album is short. I really don’t need to cop the album because I have all of his albums. I really don’t think “Oochie Wally” should be on there that’s not his style.
October 2nd, 2007 at 8:02 am
I have all Nas albums so I am not hating on Nas I just think the track listing should of been better.
I don’t think he fell off but he is struggling to create that stillmatic vibe. Illmatic was his best but stillmatic was an important abum for Nas he had to show he could keep up wit Jay, he did that but he couldn’t maintain it.
October 2nd, 2007 at 8:18 am
True Story this is definitely not a greatest hits album. He should be ashamed of himself if he picked Oochie Wally,Got Yourself…,Bridging The Gap & Made You Look
Less Than An Hour & Untitled New Track should be on his new album. What is he doin’?
Where The Fuck Is?

October 2nd, 2007 at 8:38 am
first of all, this is his last obligation to Columbia(hint let’s release a NAS album the same day as Jay-Z to try and piggy back on the Kanye vs 50 idea)Everybody needs to calm down and be ready for a new release in Dec.Oh yeah a note for Nas, listen to your fans we need great beats for those great lyrics.Another thing #35 if you think I AM was garbage you’re not hip-hop and never will be.
October 2nd, 2007 at 9:34 am
Thank You #48 that was an excellent and detailed comment. Like you said this is Nas’s last obligation to Columbia records. We all know Nas is one of the best rapper alive or dead. He is intellegent and great lyrics. Some of ya’s comment is Stupid, get your facts before making immature comments. Some of ya in here thinks that rappers have to talk about the same shit such as shot’em up bang bang, in order to be good rapper. People grow and have different prespective in life, so what any rapper was talking about when he start out would be different in some out some shape there has to be a grow, hello! so when ppl grow and mature embrase it if you like it or don’t. Just stop making ignorant comments.
October 2nd, 2007 at 10:31 am
greatest hits albums are for the occasional fan not the real hard core fan, so i’m not surprised.
how many of you people would really buy a jay-z greatest hits album can u imagine what kinds of radio commercial songs would be on that joint, real fans would laugh at it cuz we all have our own greatest hits jay and nas on our ipods
October 2nd, 2007 at 11:20 am
this stuff is all of the stuff he did with columbia, he owed columbia 1 last album. and the best way to get out of that contract is a greatest hits album. i just hoped that his next album is fire. nas is one of the few real mc’s left.
October 2nd, 2007 at 12:48 pm
f*ck ya’ll im coppin both albums….
i wanna ignore ya’ll ignorant morons but i have 2 tell u ITZ A F*CKIN MARKETIN STRATEGY!! im tired of ya’ll sayin he goin against jay, they doin it so ya’ll cop both idiots…..and any tru hip-hop fan will 2,i don’t agree with all the songs on the album but i think ether was tha dumbest thing 2 put on there….
October 2nd, 2007 at 12:55 pm
number 52, stop crying like a little bitch you sound like a baby….nas is cool but not alot of niggaz ganna buy the album. and him putting his album with hov is just another kanye west vs 50…..so if you want to cop the fuckin album then do so and shut up.
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:39 pm
u really a white boy i can tell ^^ anyways nas coulda done better than that? i dont think oochie wally shoulda been there, where is Nas Is like, The Message?…
October 2nd, 2007 at 5:42 pm
coulda done better than that!
October 2nd, 2007 at 6:44 pm

#39; WhiteBoy!! Oh yeah, you also need to learn how to spell, maybe you’ll be able to appreciate NaS better! Dumb ASSS!!
October 3rd, 2007 at 3:19 am
Fuckin’ faggot ass haters. Yaw who hatin’ on Nastradamus can suck a dick. I’m not buyin’ this shit tho, like a lot of yaw said this shit should either be a double disc or take some of them garbage tracks lick oochie wallie off. I make my own greatest hits cd’s. I got a triple disc Nas greatest hits in the first place. I don’t need to buy this shit. And Nas is top 3 whiteboy. U a fuckin’ hater, I bet songs like “I can” make u mad bitch. 2pac,Nas,Common,Biggie,Rakim. Top 5 dead or alive homos.
Chicago Stand Up!
October 3rd, 2007 at 3:25 am
I have a question. Where’s…The Cross,Destroy & Rebuild,Rewind,Affirmative Action,Memory Lane,Represent,One Time 4 Yo Mind,Last Real Nigga Alive,I Can. shit like that and throw we major with kanye, and mo money mo murda with az just for the helluva it. and where are the hip hop is dead tracks. Dumb muthafuckas, Pay me I’ll Make Nas Greatest Hits better than any album anyone ever heard. His shit is pure illmatic, stillmatic, realmatic and trillmatic.
