Me personally, Jay aint got to smell 500k or any established artist for that matter cause if you got fans you got fans. Outkast is the best or one of the best groups every, and they never sold 500k in one week. But their fans are going to buy their shit whenever it drop. Same go for The Roots, Nas, UGK, whoever has been around. These people only care about the respect they get from their peers cause it aint really a whole bunch more money they can make from music. I beleive most of the peeps I named do it for the music as opposed to many out there that do it for the money.
Any artist that gets less than 10% of their yearly income from CD’s is in a good position with or without CD sales, cause obviously they doin something right. Peeps laughed at Swizz for selling a couple thousand but most his money come from beats anyway so he dont care about that money. He more mad cause his peers dont respect his rhyming ability. Basically I dont think cd sales can really depict how great an artist is at this point in time. Maybe in the past it could but not now.

Not feeling Blue Magic much but the concept of the whole album sounds ill. Plus it’s short, no craptastic filler songs with Usher/Pharell/Bey Bey/Chris Martin/Justin TImberlake/Akon/TPain and them! Yay for hip hop!
And Puffy’s ear for beats is impeccable I don’t care what anyone says. Can’t wait to hear the Hitmen in action again! Double yay!

Jay done a world tour. when he came to the UK every stadium was a sellout. I went to the 1 in my home town of Birmingham it was a sellout, he is the only rapper to sell it out and alot of mc’s have come here some have even cancelled it cus they cant sell tickets that wasn’t a problem for Jay-Z.
BTW the concert was dope Lupe Fiasco & Memphis Bleek were supporting.

I am really glad that authentic HIP HOP is on the come up. I like the snap, down south thing but come on if they desribe one more elementary school dance i am going to loose it.
