Keyshia is the truth! She got that raw soul, and isn’t afraid to be who she truly is. I’m tired of the fake artist like Beyonce’s, Christina Milan’s, and Ashanti’s with their watered-down rnb pop sound and fake image. Her and Alicia are keeping real hip hop/soul alive.

First off i love kiesha . i hope she continues to pick the right songs cause she mos def has the voice . She has that pain in her voice that makes you relate to her . She could wind up being this generations mary j . Not saying kiesha is mary , But i think regular veryday shorties relate to her more thatn anybody else out there . Ciara aint been thru shit yet , Beyonce alot of people think she too glamour girlish to relate to . Alicia is my favorite , But i think to females like here but her image is to squeaky clean . Ashanti needs to go back to irv gotti ( musically haha ) them songs see puttin out now sucks !!! i like fantasia but i dont think she always picks the right songs ( when i see you is my shit ). Mariah is still vocally the best but i dont think she relatable to the hood , depends who writes her song i guess ( jd brought her back ) Kiesha had a little more of an advantage then mary did when she first started out mary j . We got to know mary through her music and watching her over the years . Alot of people feel like they know kiesha after that reality show she had on bet . So now when she talks about certain things , there like yeah girl , hahaha Mary’s still the queen though , ( thats my baby )

It’s not about how much you’ve been through. People like Keyshia because you can feel the words when she sings. Just like Mary she has that traditional raw gospelvoice, that has always been very common in Soul music. Her voice is not technically perfect but it’s real with true feelings and you can feel that.

#6 – agree with you – Keyshia, or Nix Check Cashing as I like to call her, is plain awful- sure, she can sing better than me, but seriously, she is an average looking chic with an average voice, I have heard her sing live and let me tell you, I was ready to lose my will to live.

all I got to say is that keyshia cole is doing good today.I look on brown sista and they said that she will have a huge first week, of selling over 300,000 copies and easily taking the #2 position on the chart.she is really doing a good job she show that a young grils from the hood and had a bad life to live like har can make it on top!.no matter what?.so GO!! keyhsia cole thay can’t tell you nothing!!.keep it up!.

@ 23 you don’t know what Ciara has been through, Just because some artists don’t put their info out like that doesn’t mean a thing. Keyshia has had a hard life but so has many of the artists in the game today. Also lets not get crazy folks. She can sing. But she will never ever be on Beyonce’s or Mary’s level. They are more down to earth than she will ever be.
