^^^^ @ 14; I agree with you however, with freedom of expression & any other kinds of freedom comes responsibility. Unfortunately music is such a powerful and influential medium of entertainment that when something negative is portrayed some people(i.e bill o reily) look to the hip hop genre specifically to put blame for social problems at the moment and use it as a scapegoat (i.e imus). So I think rappers need to start being a bit more responsible and conscious of the images that are being portrayed and the messages they are sending.

why isn’t the movie industry being targeted; specifically horror films or action films that contain a lot of violence? nothing in entertainment is 100% positive. But movies are not going to be targeted because they don’t have as much influence as music does especially hip hop music and that is why the hip hop genre is being targeted now.

just another unjustified attack on an artform….what do you expect when the minority is dominating the genre…they have already censored hip hop on every major media outlet…have hearings on the problems that are really plaguing this nation…look at the trailer for shoot ‘em up…come on let’s be serious this is a classic congressional shakedown..art is supposed to be subjective in delivery as well as interpretation…which means there is definately an alterior motive..but go ahead and do what you want to hip hop u can’t censor the people…u bann hip hop and guess what something more vile and denagrading is going to manifest itself
