As U.S. fans await the results of the September 11 showdown between Kanye West and 50 Cent, a clear winner has already emerged across the Atlantic in the U.K. According to the BBC and the Official UK Charts Company, Kanye West’s Graduation surpassed 50’s Curtis LP to take the No. 1 spot on the country’s Top 40 Charts. In related news, MTV UK is reporting that 50 has cancelled several appearances he was scheduled to make in the country over the next week. The G-Unit head was scheduled to perform at both the MOBO Awards and the Vodafone Live Music Awards in London on Wednesday night (September 19), as well as an MTV show in Germany on Friday (September 21). “50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last minute, unforseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European Promotion Trip from Sept. 18- 25,” a label rep for the rapper confirmed to MTV UK.
