Seriously, what has happened to Hip Hop………the same people who are saying Kanye over 50 are those begging for street hits??? Shouts to Kanye on a album that kicks open doors to how far we can stretch the sound of hip hop, but as far as wordplay, I don’t know about that.
Shouts to 50 for giving the streets what we’ve been begging for since Get Rich, street music…….the only problem is his credibility isn’t the same. Both albums are great for hip hop, even though Kanye doesn’t have the wordplay to push his album to 5 star supremacy, and 50 gives us an album that should’ve been in the place of Massacre…….Other than that, I think this week is going to belong to Kanye due to all the hatred towards 50, but overall sells will belong to Fitty, dig?

he also likes e-40 and says he likes yung bergs flow.
that says enough right there as to why 50 sells alot.
most of his sales dont come from the “immediate” hip hop community. it comes from people who just know who he is from media and wateva marketin schemes he has going.

with the super production, catchy hooks and average lyrics, his cd is better.

50 Cent and all his retirement talk may be coming around to bite him in the ass. According to Billboard, early sales projections show that Kanye West’s Graduation is moving comfortably ahead of 50 Cent’s Curtis. Word is that Graduation is on pace to sell anywhere from 575k to 700k in its first week. 50 Cent, on the other hand, is going to need a little help catching Kanye with his sales numbers projecting to be in the range of 500k.
There is even a chance that 50 Cent may come in third this week. Country artist Kenny Chesney and his Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates album is running close with Curtis and expected to land in the range of 400k – 550k sold. This would even be a bigger blow to 50 Cent’s ego.
Neither of their sales projections are anything to sneeze at, but for 50 Cent it seems as if he may be headed for retirement. 50 promised that if he didn’t outsell Kanye, that there would be no more solo albums coming from the G-Unit head honcho.
