The only thing that keeps “Reasonable” from being a “classic”, in my opinion, is that it’s not original. The mafioso theme had been recycled so many times by other rappers that it almost became a common theme for East Coast gangster rap. Remember “Cuban Linx” that was released in 1995? That album was saturated with Mob ambitions. Anyway, Reasonable had top notch production and def lyrics which makes it one of the best albums of the 1990’s.

co signin 40 straight up …someone please tell me y he’s regarded to be so great.. personally i think he lacks somthin… pac had it, biggie had it ..snoop had it in doggystyle 50 had it in get rich , eminem has it… its called charisma…personally jay-z jus doesnt have that energy and style that would make him not boring to listen to.. I don kno man ..but dis dude is jus way too overated.. n i heard reasonable doubt n blueprint so i don wanna hear that bullshit.. they were good albums .. but i dont see nobody bumpin that shyt now so they cant be classics

lol jay-z is so overrated his best album was blueprint da gift and curse reasonable doubt was coo but da production was weak on that album illmatic,ready to die, all eyes on me,makaveli da don the 7 day theory,me against the world,strictly 4 my niggaz,and tupaclypse now,and get rich or die tryin,da chronin,da marshal mathers lp was all better then reasonable doubt so stop suckin dis niggaz nuts this album didnt even go platinum until 2002 thats a damn shame to be such a classic…

Jay is the best of all time! No doubt. Reasonable Doubt is the most fucking classic album there is, kinda question is that?! It’s also his best, Blueprint close second.
