Im a huge “MUSIC” fan.. I listed to T-pain the other day in the whip and the joint was rockin.. I don’t know the song off hand but it was on a mixtape… it was saying 2 step 2 step and I think it had Jim Jones on it also.. That shit had my head nodding.. Now im 34 and im old school hip hop at heart but you cant deny that song or any other when it sounds good.. If any of you remember Zapp. Rodger Troutman used that to record Computer love and more bounce and other hits.. Teddy used it with blackstreet and earth wind & fire used it with Lets groove tonight.. Draft punk used it and legends like Herbie Handcock. That sound is tight.. Its good music at the end of the day.. you have no idea how many artist and producers used the vocoder or other voice enhanced software/hardware. It’s a lot of artist that can’t sing but there are artist that can sing that used that also… I can bet you will hear that sound for years to come.

first of all its known that t-pain uses the voice thing in the studio. i didnt like him at first because of that. however , once i saw him perform live, i found out that he doesnt use the voice thing. t-pain is a great performer and does his thing. all yaw can go to youtube and look up every live t-pain performance and watch him kill that shit….without the voice thing. u saw on jimmy kimmel that he didnt have any effects that dude was talkin about. he only uses it in the studio. when he sing live, he still pulls it off. give t-pain his credit. tha next r.kelly as far as r&b song writing goes and him being featured on songs

I agree with 9. T-Pain is on almost every hot song that’s come out in the past year or so. Roger and Zapp did the same thing back in the day. And all music is is one era trying to recreate the sounds of the past era. As far as R. Kelly is concerned…dudes songs getting kinda repetitive these days anyway, his “I believe I can fly” days been over for a minute. Homey aint COMPOSED a song in a minute.
