50 is the truth look at this article..TRUE STORY

50 Cent vs The Game The Public Feud/ The Demise Of The Game

In 2003 the world was G-unit's, with a roster of Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck this four man army took the rap world by storm riding the success of the general 50 Cent, protege of another larger than life rap star Eminem. With no signs of slowing down anytime soon 50 Cent signs rapper The Game to G-unit records. The move that seemed so right, would ultimately end up as potentially the biggest mistake of his career.

March 2004- G-unit released their mixtape "All Eyes On Us". Before this there had been rumors of a "secret" G-unit member rapping on one of DJ Whoo Kid's mixtapes. Before long it would be revealed to the world that a new up and coming west coast rapperThe Game was the man behind the lyrics and would serve as a fifth member to the G-unit crew. It wouldn't be long before Game joined his comrades in war, as he penned lyrical assaults against Ja Rule, Joe Budden's and Rocafella rapper Memphis Bleek.

2004- Earlier in the year the G-unit boss spoke out against rapper Joe Budden stating that his album "lacked street credibility" Budden would responsed with a couple freestyles that flew under the radar of mainstream hip hop fans. In a song on a called "Crosscountry Connection" on DJ Clue mixtape featuring Stack Bundles (R.I.P) himself and The Game. Buddens would again take a shot at the G-unit crew. Game who claimed he was unaware took offense and responsed with a diss track titled " Buddens". Joe Budden would respond with a vicious diss record titled " Game Over". Little did the rap world know, this record that flew under the radar contained hard facts about the alleged Cedar Block Piru.

January 18th 2005 - By this time G-unit had created four multi-platnium records. The Game and 50 Cent had the airwaves buzzing with the tunes of two smash singles, " How We Do" and " Hate It or Love It". The Game had shown potential as he displayed his lyrically abilites on the song " Westside Story", the Dr Dre produced West Coast anthem. Besides Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre, the West Coast hadn't seen another artist from their stomping ground shine and when The Game dropped his debut album titled " The Documentary" his first week sales surpassed those of each of the previous three G-unit releases ( Hunger for More, Straight Outta Cashville and Beg For Mercy) moving almost 600 units in the first week. In one week the Game had brought the media's attention back to the West Coast, and even more important kept the G-unit machine running.

February 2005- By this time Game's album was already platnium and 50 had already begun promotion for his album. 50 was featured on Game's first two singles, which helped create a huge buzz for his sophmore effort titled " The Massacre" but that wasn't enough for the G-unit general, he leaked a song titled " Disco Inferno" which was a breath of fresh air, hip hop fans were satisfied and glad to hear 50 return with another great single but to 50, it wasnt enough. Rumors emerged suggesting that 50 Cent had a diss record aimed at rapper Fat Joe and Jadakiss. This was the beginning of the end. The Game returned from his tour of Europe with controversy surrounding him, a video tape of the Game telling Rocafella to " suck his dick" surfaced and served as a response to Jay-z " Dear Summer" freestyle on Hot 97. Although 50 hadn't said anything to Game publicly about joining his beef with Jadakiss and Fat Joe, Game went on MTV and told the world that he wasnt getting in the beef. 50 took this as disrespect. This would serve as the beginning of the end for The Game.

February 28th 2005- 50 Cent and G-unit go on Hot 97 and announce to all listeners that the Game was no longer in G-unit. There was speculation as to whether or not this was a marketing ploy for both their albums, by the end of the night Game's friend was shot and he was no longer in G-unit.

June 5th 2005- At Hot 97's Summer Jam The Game shocks the world and introduces his "G-unot" campaign. A few weeks later he releases a 15 minutes diss track titled " 300 Bars" . In this song the Game would attack the entire crew and damage their reputation, and further turn the media against 50 Cent and G-unit who had began to recieve backlash for not responding to the streets call for a response to Jadakiss and crew.

January 2006- Game would diss his former crew for the rest of 2005 dropping entire mixtapes attacking them. However tension between The Game and his brother Big Fase Hunned would be the true death blow. This situation first began to surface when the website " The Real Blackwall Street" popped up. Reps from both sides began to speak out until finally the Game made it publicly known that he and his brother were no longer buisness partner. With artist like Glasses Malone, Cyssero and Eastwood, this effect this would have was bigger than the Game because it effected the entire West Coast.

January 20th 2006- Big Fase a well known OG and Game's older brother spoke out against Game in an interview with allhiphop revealing facts to the world about his brother. Meanwhile the Game had released the mixtape and dvd "Stop Snitching, Stop Lyin". This mixtape served as the second mixtape attacking G-unit. This time around he mentioned G-unit rapper Spider Loc, not dissing him but extending his hand to him. Spider Loc did not return the love however and would soon began his feud with the Game.

May 2006- Rumors of a tape of The Game stripping and on the tv show " Change Of Heart" began to surface. It seems that the diss that flew under the radar had now become the talk of hiphop. Joe Budden was the first to mention this before The Game blew up and now nearly two years later West Coast rapper Spider Loc assembles a team of West Coast rappers and releases a mixtape titled "Bangdoshish". To many hip hop fans Spider Loc is a horrible rapper, but his street cred and West Coast following posed an even bigger threat to The Game then 50 Cent did. Spider Loc being backed by prominent figures in the West Coast underground circuit began to present Game to the world as a fake gang banger, and mocked The Game for dissing and then apologizing. On a mainstream level this meant nothing, but in his stomping ground this was bigger than anyone knew.

Summer 2006- Throughout the year 50 Cent mentioned on records that Dr Dre would not be working with Game anymore. Game continued to deny these rumors until July of 2006 , when it was confirmed that he had been dropped from Aftermath and would be releasing his sophmore effort on Geffen records. A wounded 50 Cent was still able to deliver a blow to The Game whose credibility had already been shot. By this time The Game had created a track record that presented him as a liar and fraud. His brother had destoryed the foundation of his street cred, and 50 Cent destroyed the public's perception of him. The stage was now set, on November 14th the people would find out if 50 Cent would have the last laugh.

November 14th 2006- Game releases his second album. His first single "One Blood" or his second single "Let's Ride" would not share the same success of any of the single off his first album. All of a sudden people began to wonder if what 50 Cent said about The Game was true. His first week numbers come in and their a soild 350K, almost half of what he sold with his first album. It seems as if 50 Cent had won this war with The Game's album failing to reach the platnium status.

In closing, with fame comes public scrutiny. Before the fame Joe Budden had brought allegations to the rap world that went unheard, before the fame none of those words mattered. Once the fame came however, those words resurfaced by way of his brother and other west coast artist. Many hip hop fans dont realize how important the rise of the Game was to West Coast rap. He was the one rapper who could bring attention to the West Coast, and his demise does affect them greatly. When it seemed to the labels that the West Coast was ready explode back on the scene, the leader of the pack fell victim to his own ways and the door seemed to have closed once again. Glasses Malone, a recepient of The Game opening the door serves as the first to rise, and the first to fall from this short lived attempt to revive West Coast hip hop. After recieving a one million dollar deal G. Malone was dropped from the his label before his debut album even saw the light of day. One has to wonder, if the Game was able to keep the door open would the West be making a comeback right now? I guess we'll have to see, Spider Loc a West Coast name thats heavy in the streets has the street cred to gain a following, but some question his skill. Even with the G-unit label behind him name, the former powerhouse can't even guarantee his album will ever see the light of day. In their hay day, im sure 50, Game and Spider Loc could've created a single that would have sold his album and brought the West Coast back, but when two men couldn't control their ego's, something that was potentially good, turns out to be just that...POTENTIALLY GOOD. Damn what if.... Signing off God Bless

February 2005- By this time Game’s album was already platnium and 50 had already begun promotion for his album. 50 was featured on Game’s first two singles, which helped create a huge buzz for his sophmore effort titled ” The Massacre” but that wasn’t enough for the G-unit general, he leaked a song titled ” Disco Inferno” which was a breath of fresh air, hip hop fans were satisfied and glad to hear 50 return with another great single but to 50, it wasnt enough. Rumors emerged suggesting that 50 Cent had a diss record aimed at rapper Fat Joe and Jadakiss. This was the beginning of the end. The Game returned from his tour of Europe with controversy surrounding him, a video tape of the Game telling Rocafella to ” suck his dick” surfaced and served as a response to Jay-z ” Dear Summer” freestyle on Hot 97. Although 50 hadn’t said anything to Game publicly about joining his beef with Jadakiss and Fat Joe, Game went on MTV and told the world that he wasnt getting in the beef. 50 took this as disrespect. This would serve as the beginning of the end for The Game.

February 28th 2005- 50 Cent and G-unit go on Hot 97 and announce to all listeners that the Game was no longer in G-unit. There was speculation as to whether or not this was a marketing ploy for both their albums, by the end of the night Game’s friend was shot and he was no longer in G-unit.

June 5th 2005- At Hot 97’s Summer Jam The Game shocks the world and introduces his “G-unot” campaign. A few weeks later he releases a 15 minutes diss track titled ” 300 Bars” .

This situation first began to surface when the website ” The Real Blackwall Street” popped up. Reps from both sides began to speak out until finally the Game made it publicly known that he and his brother were no longer buisness partner. With artist like Glasses Malone, Cyssero and Eastwood, this effect this would have was bigger than the Game because it effected the entire West Coast.

January 20th 2006- Big Fase a well known OG and Game’s older brother spoke out against Game in an interview with allhiphop revealing facts to the world about his brother. Meanwhile the Game had released the mixtape and dvd “Stop Snitching, Stop Lyin”. This mixtape served as the second mixtape attacking G-unit. This time around he mentioned G-unit rapper Spider Loc, not dissing him but extending his hand to him. Spider Loc did not return the love however and would soon began his feud with the Game.

May 2006- Rumors of a tape of The Game stripping and on the tv show ” Change Of Heart” began to surface. It seems that the diss that flew under the radar had now become the talk of hiphop. Joe Budden was the first to mention this before The Game blew up and now nearly two years later West Coast rapper Spider Loc assembles a team of West Coast rappers and releases a mixtape titled “Bangdoshish”.

His brother had destoryed the foundation of his street cred, and 50 Cent destroyed the public’s perception of him. The stage was now set, on November 14th the people would find out if 50 Cent would have the last laugh.

November 14th 2006- Game releases his second album. His first single “One Blood” or his second single “Let’s Ride” would not share the same success of any of the single off his first album. All of a sudden people began to wonder if what 50 Cent said about The Game was true. His first week numbers come in and their a soild 350K, almost half of what he sold with his first album. It seems as if 50 Cent had won this war with The Game’s album failing to reach the platnium status.

I guess we’ll have to see, Spider Loc a West Coast name thats heavy in the streets has the street cred to gain a following, but some question his skill. Even with the G-unit label behind him name, the former powerhouse can’t even guarantee his album will ever see the light of day. In their hay day, im sure 50, Game and Spider Loc could’ve created a single that would have sold his album and brought the West Coast back, but when two men couldn’t control their ego’s, something that was potentially good, turns out to be just that…POTENTIALLY GOOD. Damn what if…. Signing off God Bless
