Keyshia Cola ft. T.I. & Young Dro - Let It Go Remix

R&B songstress, Keyshia Cole, is set to release the follow up to her platinum-selling, debut The Way It Is with Just Like You on Geffen Records with a release date of September 25th, 2007.  The Benny Boom-directed video for the first single, “Let It Go,” featuring Missy Elliot and Lil’ Kim, shows the Oakland native’s party side with the fun-infused Missy Elliott produced track.

Since her last album release Keyshia Cole has been busy diversifying her career.  She has a starring role in the upcoming MTV film “How She Moves,” and is currently working on season two of her BET reality show called “The Way It Is 2” which is Executive Produced by Keyshia and her manager Manny Halley.

Keyshia is all set for the promotion of Just Like You putting the final touches on a multi-city House of Blues tour.

Tour Recap:

I had the pleasure of attending one of Keyshia Cole’s tour stops in New York last weekend. Her opening acts were Ray Lavender(My Girl Got A Girlfriend) & new R&B sensation J. Holiday(Bed). I don’t know much about Ray-L, but his new song seems to be getting some buzz. He had the ladies screaming when he simulated opening a girl’s legs and…  D.C. native, J. Holiday was next to hit the stage. Singing songs from his upcoming album, “Back Of My Lac.” J.Holiday had the ladies waving their hands side to side while performing, “Be With Me.” He then sang a song about life in the hood of D.C. The females went into a frenzy when J.Holiday started his performance of, “Bed.” The song is currently one of the hottest R&B songs out right now, and number 1 in bedrooms across the country. After J.Holiday’s soulful performance, Keyshia Cole made her way to the stage. The energy of the audience went to another level. Keyshia Cole displayed her dancing skills while performing, “I Just Want It To Be Over.” Keyshia Cole went through her diverse hits, with a great mix of fast and slow songs. Keyshia looks at relationships through various perspectives, from falling in love, to just wanting it to be over. She closed the show with her first single off of, “Just Like You,” entitled, “Let It Go.” As a surprise Keyshia Cole brought out Missy Elliot and Lil Kim to perform along with her. The concert was great and Keyshia reminds me of a young Mary J. Blige, in terms of how convincing she is when she sings and how people can relate to her.
