well, I beleve rappers are waking up now, they know cd sales have been dropping. They know ti is a good/alright mc/lyricist which is why he went gold in the first week. They know the only ones selling records are good mc’s. I was thinking about this yesterday, that theres 2 types of rappers…. You got the yard workers and then you got the leave kickers.
the yard workers are the rappers like lil wayne, ti, kanye, andre, jay, nas, game, jeezy, fabolous, common, etc….
those are the ones who is saving hip hop and love hip hop and is popular and is making hip hop.
Then you got the leave kickers, these are the rappers who cant rap, they come mess up hip hop and make ring tone music. rappers like yung joc, d4l, hurrican chris, that so krispy rapper, shop boys, etc…..
Thats how I look at rap artist, I put them in categories, I either label them as leave kickers or yard workers.
as for bow wow, I label him as a leave kicker.

First let me comment on the statement made by #12.Obviously you no little to nothing about “Hip-Hop”. What gives you the idea to believe that Young Jeezy has propelled Hip Hop to its betterment and not the commercial substance that it is today.There is nothing I hate more that critics of Hip Hop, who know nothing of its true form.Secondly to refer Common as a nationally known artist is also foolish.
