I don’t really like this song, but hey I’m 33, but she does have that star appeal for the younger generation. I think she’ll blow because she is talanted & has a winning personality………

If you you tube Lil Mama, she has a few unreleased videos and some freestyles on there. She can actually rap…really good. But for the purposes of marketing and more money, the label is making her put out these pop songs. I don’t really like the song, but I will say that when she matures and is given the artistic freedom, she will definitely be a force to reckon with. The girl can spit crazy but unfortunately she’s under the thumb of a label and came in the game when companies are more concerned with singles and ringtones than with artist development.

@7. Chick is 16 making 16 year old music. She’s not a grown ass man leaping & tippy-toeing around like an idiot.

Anon wrote on August 31st, 2007 at 5:25 pm

Lil Mama is alright by me but I cant help wonder if she picked up Bow Wow’s flow after he dropped it and picked up Wayne’s who picked up Jay’s.

New York is different from the south. New York didn’t make thier success of of dance songs. The south did. Aint no one was talkin about the south until the early 2000’s. Outkast didn’t bring any real success to the south. They opened the door. When the 2000’s came in that’s when the crap from the south came in. When New York was hot, he were skilled. Biggie, Jay, Nas, Busta, Rakim whatever. When we were hot, we actually had hits that meant something. Now a dfays the south is withoutb a doubt running hip hop. But ya’ll running it with Ay Bay Bay, Laffy Taffy and all that shit. Let me just say that people say that New York isn’t winnging ant more. People like Nas and Jay don’t even need hits no more. Really Nas has only had like 3 or 4 real hit, hit singles. He goes platinum with all of his albums still. People like Dave Banner night have a real hit, but he only went gold with the last album and if he did go platinum it wasn’t that much. Back in the day 1 mill albums would be a flop. And it’s at a time when the south is running hip hop. Not even TI has gone plat yet. And he’s got two hits under his belt.

Only thing nice about home girl is her eyes. I went to school wit her though she was a grade higher than me and I never knew her. People be sayin that she was dirty though. Fame may have changed that but she still don’t look attractive. Most female rappers have sex appeal.

25.
Missezrenee wrote on August 31st, 2007 at 11:32 pm

I respect her struggle, shes cool the video and song is aight though. She still looks like bow wow.

it would’ve been better is she had a direction in this song…the hook, chorus, and video in particular just lost me…its aight but i peeped her droppin this off at 106 yesterday and its seemed like no one was really diggin this..but who knows, if she wants to stand out from all those pop rappers she’s needs to stand out and be female MC

21 WAS RIGHT NIGGAZ. THE SOUTH IS RUNNING HIP HOP BUT REALLY, THEY SUCK. IT’S NOT LIKE UGK, OUTKAST OR SCARFACE IS THE SPOTLIGHT OF THE SOUTH ANYMORE. IT’S JOC, CRIS, D4L AND ALL THEM TYPE OF CATS. I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY PEOPLE LIKE PIMP C AND LUDACRIS TRY TO DEFEND THEM NIGGAZ. YOU SAY THAT NEW YORK KILLED HIP HOP. OK! HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT NEW YORK KILLED HIP HOP WHEN THE MAJORITY OF THE GREAT MC’S, GROUPS, AND ALBUMS COME FROM THERE. LOOK ON THE INTERNET AND FIND OUT. MOST PEOPLE THINK NEW YORK IS STILL THE BEST REGION EVEN THOUGH THEY FELL OFF A LIL BIT. REALLY I DON’T SEE WHY PEOPLE LIKE NAS WOULD HAVE TO BE INTIMIDATED BY PEOPLE LIKE BANNER. HE’D END BANNER WITH ONE OR TWO LINES. IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY MAN. END OF THE DAY, HIP HOP IS BEIN RUN BY THE SOUTH AND THAT’S UNDENIABLE. BUT NEW YORK HAS STILL BEEN THE MECCA OF THIS MUSIC. JUST LIKE REGGAE WOULD BE FRO JAMAICA AND JAZZ WOULD BE FOR NEW ORLEANS. DEAL WITH IT PEOPLE. FOR EVERY FUCK NEW YORK, THERE’S A FUCK THE SOUTH. I EVEN GOT SOME YOUNG KIDS THAT BE LISTENING TO NEW YORK MUSIC SAYIN THAT THIS IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING BEIN PUT OUT RIGHT NOW. THEY EVEN FEEL LIKE THEY WERE BORN IN THE WRONG GENERATION. WHAT A FUCKING SHAME.

I see Willie Lynch is still in effect. You do not see white people so fucking concerned on where their artists originated from. I from NJ and been living the the FLA for a minute and people down here do not be hatin on the North. Why can’t ya’ll focus on the music and not where a MF comes from? About as bad as gangs killing over turf they don’t own.
