My little comment saying, “Black girls will hate her even more after this,” in the post about Kim Kardashian’s King magazine cover(Link) has sparked a fire in a few black women. I just want to say it was more of a joke than anything. I am sure there are more than a few black females that are mad she bagged Reggie Bush & and is now on the cover of King Magazine. But there is no reason for black females to be jealous of her and in no way am I saying she is better than black females. I got love for all races of women and would never say one race is better than the other. Also I’m not caught up in this light skin hype, beauty is found in various shades. I just hope women aren’t caught up on looks and forget the more important things to worry about like having a personality, being ambitious, educated & independent, and knowing their own worth.

I know who I am, the strength I possess, the beauty I have, and I know I come from the original tribe of people. Why do you all not know it? I think this is a great that we’re on this subject. ‘Whateva’ was speaking the truth. Rich black men with white gold digger women is known to be the case in this world. Shaq is the only rich athlete that I know of with an all-black wife, and it took four kids before he decided to marry her which would have never been the case if that was a white woman.
Plus to add to all this…if Kim K as black, she probably wouldn’t get this much publicity and she would be dogged by blogs such as this one if she was i.e. Superhead. There was not an ounce of guilt trip intended from my end. I personally understand where your statement comes from. I’m 25, black female, NO CHILDREN, NO DRAMA, Financially very stable/Self-employed, Independent but not controlling (meaning I want my man to be the man and wear the pants and I want to be the woman in the relationship). So I understand all about the gap of eligible daters closing and getting smaller and smaller to an extent. That still does not excuse the statement made about black females hating on Kim K because shes on a cover. Nor does it excuse those who date outside their race because they need to be validated (which this entails a great deal of interracial dating and there’s no way you can dispute that). However, I said if you are going to date outside of your race do it for the right reasons point blank and even admitted that it is not totally out of the picture with myself. We’ll yeah it is, or maybe not….. sorry i can’t help it. Though for me personally when I hear people say that they can’t find an eligible black female I think it’s bullshit (black females are going to college way more than black males these days/ black females are also working in very high paid industries and holding titles men would normally hold more and more). I exist (black educated single female) and I hang with black women like me that exist and they hang with black women like them who exist and so on. So for me when I hear a black man or black female say they are dating interracially because they can not find someone of their race that is eligible… I always think to myself that they are not putting themselves in the areas in which those black men/women frequent. If you hang in a lower socio-economic area all day long you’ll interact primarily with people of that mind frame. Not that they aren’t capable of more but… well that’s a whole other history lesson and y’all are not ready for me to drop that right now (just joking). Seriously though, I know it can be a frustrating thing because I go through it, but I would implore you to look in different areas and open your range of scope not to just different races but to different PLACES. Also, what ever happened to wanting to uplift your man or your woman? What happened to that idealism? Have you ever tried to teach one of those drama having women what having class is about? Obviously they were not taught. So you abandon them to only exist at the same parallel they are currently at? What is that all about?
