First let me say i completely understand what the short lil nigga was saying.but lets trace that aforementioned statement. as i recall all black music in america can trace its roots back to SOUTHERN gospel which later became BLUES then Jazz that was then taken to CHICAGO then N.Y. in the same time its was traveling r&b and rock were created.
New York then took the roots given to them by Chicago which were birthed down south and then formed what is today know as hip-hop. Now i could never discredited ny for what they did, but you niggas took the coke you got from the south then flipped it into crack. and with that being said NO ONE in new york can say SHIT about it comes back 360 degrees, cause it already did and its here. so you niggas need to get off your dick. yall may have birthed hip-hop(which i take my hat off for because i dont know what the fuck i’d be listenin to right now if it didn’t happen) but we birth bore its father. and for the record jay, jada, and fab get mad love in the south, espicaially where i live(oklahoma city/houston).

If you wanna talk about the BEATS, then fine. But look, hip hop is about lyrics more importantly than beats. You wouldn’t buy an instrumental hip hop album would you? And this hip hop really started in Jamaica instead of the south. And if you talkin about James Brown bein the forefather of hip hop, that might be true but look at where he broke. NEW YORK CITY! It don’t get promoted as much as a TI album would have gotten promoted. Look how pitiful this is. There are soem people in New York that didn’t even know that Fab was droppin an album but people knew about the TI album like the back of thier hand. It’s easy! You can’t support something, you don’t know shit about. It’s not the New York people either. It’s these dumb ass radio companies and shit that let the south take over New York. That saying is true. f you can make it in New York. You can make it anywhere. People don’t realize how true that shit is. Ask anybody down south. They’ll tell you that it’s the fucking truth. See people wanna use New York to get that fame and then when they get that fame, they run off back to where they really came from. Look at Usher from back in the day. Perfect example of that shit. Bottom line is that most of the shit comin down south aint even better than the shit comin from 50 cent, but cuz they get promoted more, people support it more. Besides the UGK, there really hasn’t been any southern album worth buying. But if you look at New York and all the shit we put out and are goin to put out. For example NYOIL and Talib Kweli look what happens. If New York will listen to Havoc for once and start playin and promoteing New York shit, no one can stop us. I seriuoly mena that too. I don’t even care how old you are. Good music is good music. So if Rakim were to drop, why shouldn’t he get promoted in New York. You gonna put some Rich Boy or Shop Boyz, over the God MC? Ya’ll don’t eve listen. You southerners just don’t get it. I’m from the west coast too so don’t say shit. Havoc aint hatin on the south at all. Ya’ll too sensitive. What he sayin is nothing but truth. Everybody obviously digs southern music and that’s why ya’ll are hot right now. So ths has nothing to do with the music side of things. If you remember he said that it’s all music. No matter what type of music it is it is still music. SO HE AINT DISSIN YOUR MUSIC NIGGAZ! What he sayin is that ya’ll are taking this shit for granted. More so, you guys a re starting to think that ya’ll are invincible. The south is just as recyclble as New York is and as L.A is. Ya’ll keep on thinking that ya’ll are the best to ever dod it or whatever and that it can never be taken away from ya’ll. But dude was spittin truth. It started in New York and it’s gonna end in New York. Shit, I’m from the west and even I respect and understand that. All he’s sayin is that New York can’t be counted out just becuase the south is doin their thing. I mean, I’ve been down south before. One time I stayed for a month. Atlanta to be exact. And I love Atlanta and the whole south as a whole, but, ya’ll don’t rock no New York music or West Coast music down there. New York thought that they were invincible and my West Coast took that shit for ourselves and he ran shit for real. But then we got comfortable and it went back to the birthplace. He was there first hand when New York’s decline came and he knows what he talkin bout. So shut your mouth and respect the veteran. He aint dissin the south anymore how the south is dissin New York specially for the fact that ya’ll get played in New York more than New York gets played and most of the rappers in the south are no better than New York rappers. New York is makin money just like the south is makin money. Just listen for once before you piss in your pants about hatin. The man said that his son is from the south!
