August 3rd, 2007 at 1:41 pm
i mean it aint jus about strickly albums…but reasonable doubt iz still tha hottest album ever made..in my opinion..and he is the greatest
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:46 pm
yeah, Jay-Z will always be the best out. lil wayne aint got nothin on him.
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:49 pm
I guess he haven’t heard get rich or die trying lol.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:02 pm
You can’t be if you quit making music get back in the rap game then we can talk………………………
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:03 pm
“reasonable doubt” and “G.R.O.D.T” are never to be mentioned in the same breathe or html code
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:05 pm
i think all yall some suburban white boys that post on this site… classic albums come on man jay-z way down the list………classic ny albums reasonble doubt in the top ten as far as hip hop overall reasonable doubt aint even in the top 50 more close to 100……..imma give u my ny top ten…….
1.eric b and rakim….paid in full
2.notorius b.i.g…. ready to die
3.nas.. illmatic
4.krs-1 and bdp…criminal minded
5.ll cool j…….bigger and deffer
6.kool g. rap and dj polo?road to riches(cant think of the actual name right now)
7.wu-tang clan …..enter the 36 chambers
8.public enemy..fear of a black planet
9.epmd…..strictly business
10.run dmc……king of rock
lol guess jay z dont even make the top ny classic ny albums
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:06 pm
He has a valid point. Since 96′ who else has given multiple classic albums. The only one is hov. resonable doubt, the blue print, and i think the black album can be considered a classic. There is no one else that has done that, so he has the right to say that.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:09 pm
i say paid in full and illmatic are better then reasonable doubt.. but thats just ma opinion i love nas and jayz but illmatic was just toooo muchh
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:13 pm
Fuck dat!!!!
I’m not sayin Notorious B.I.G. – Ready to Die is the best album ever (even though it is to me), but it destroys any Jay-Z album, biggie gave Jay a blueprint for all of his albums.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:13 pm
You already know Jay Z is the the truth. Greatest of all time behind PAC & BIG. If Eminem starts trying again and raps to his potential he’s right there with them, too.
And, the link has no audio.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:44 pm
props to realtalk for listenin to the people…no one else takes the time to listen to our requests realtalk #1 HoLLA!
ps Jay is the best rapper EVER
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:45 pm
he must must aint listen to ILLMATIC OR STILLMATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:51 pm
@22. Reasonable Doubt came after Illmatic, making it irrelevant to the discussion of the last hottest album to change the game. Stillmatic was off emotions.
I will say this…I don’t think Jay-Z himself can top Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:54 pm
oh sdfu jay z..
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:57 pm
cosign wit #15 true but only cause pac die then big if they were alive now jay and every rapper that suddenly blow up when they died and now wont exist
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:00 pm
Reasonable Doubt is the best hip hop album ever period
only The Blueprint is close to it
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:01 pm
ANYBODY CAN TALK ALL THEY WANT. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SUCCESS JAY-Z IS THAT DUDE.
JUST CAUSE HE USED VERSES FROM OTHER RAPPERS DOESN’T MAKE HIM ANY LESS BETTER THAN BIGGIE AND PAC. WHAT HAPPEN TO NAS? WELL HIS RHYMES GOT TO UNREALISTIC. HE TALKED IT BUT DOESN’T LIVE IT. HOW CAN YOU TALK INTELLECTUAL SHIT BUT THEN SMOKING BLUNTS AND TALKING LIKE HE SOME TYPE OF MAFIOSO. NAS LOSS HIS CREDIBILITY. HIS RHYMES ARE GOOD BUT HIS DELIVERY “HIS VOICE IS BETTER”. BUT I DO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE NAS FANS LIKE MYSELF BUT WHO CARES HOW MUCH TALENT YOU HAVE ITS HOW WELL YOU CAN SHOW IT. AND JAY SHOWED THAT…
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:09 pm
DUDE MENTIONED HE IN TALKS POSSIBLY NEGOCIATIONS ON HOTELS. AND ALREADY GOT A NAME FOR ONE “THE MARCY”…
THATS BIG BUSINESS.
HE EVEN MENTIONED TO ONE OF THE GUYS FROM MTV THAT HE SHOULD OFF NOT BEEN ON THE RECENT MTV WHOS HOT NOW LIST.
THATS SOME REAL SHIT RIGHT THERE. HE DOESN’T EVEN CARE DUDE GOT REAL BUSINESS TO ATTEND TOO.
THIS GUY HAS GROWN UP…
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:23 pm
Ok numbers 14, 7, 6, and 10 are whiteboys (it’s obvious) how the hell has Nas lost credibility? He talked about it but didn’t live it? well according to Calvin Klien neither did Jay-Z….oh and Malcom X was a pimp once in his life So I think Nas can make thugz mansion and hit a blunt in his alone time
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:33 pm
MAN ATLBIRDGANG JUST SHITTED ON ALL YALL SUBURBAN FUCKS.
NIGGAS WAS BORN IN 1990 AND SHIT, TALKING BOUT REASONABLE DOUBT THE BEST HIP HOP ALBUM. YALL NIGGAS SAYING THAT DONT KNOW HIP HOP, YOU DICKRIDERS.

August 3rd, 2007 at 3:37 pm
lol let the war of words begin
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:48 pm
@#22
actually im black. are you racisist or something. What does my color have to do with the type of music i like. If you talk about consistancy in dropping good albums and stay on top then jay is the only choice. If you listened to the interview then you would know that directly after he said that statement about being the best he said “im at least in the argument” agianst big and pac for being the best. And personally i like resonable doubt better than any other hip hop album. MY OPINION. Dont go crazy because you dont agree with it.
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:52 pm
he is clearly talking to one person in particular.
lil wayne.
and if anyone thinks that lil wayne has dropped an album better than reasonable doubt then i will say nothing further, because there is no hope.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:00 pm
Not to take away from the BIG/PAC legacies..
JAY has had more success over the span of several albums than any other rapper.
PAC got big buzz and BLEW UP with All Eyez On Me and BIG was hot from the get go and wouldv’ve only got better..
But they died and that is that.
JAY has done it big consistently for a long time.
From his first album (RD) to the ones in between (BP/RLF/Vol.3) to his later ones (TBA).
Dude is an icon. Entertainer as big as they come in HipHop and big business afterward.
He’s the Magic Johnson of HipHop.
He dominated his chsoen profession and then went on and was EXTREMELY successful in the business world.
Face it.. Dudes like 50 who had one real hot album and sold millions came in and had the help of DRE/EMINEM.. monsters in the business who basically were running sh*t at the time.
Jay has had both the swag and the intellect. He’s been one of the flashiest rappers and also one the most intelligent. Add to that multiple #1 albums and beyonce for show..
Jay.. You that man.. that business man.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:09 pm

The Boss Speaks
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:15 pm
WOW # 9 all those albums were crazy and I have to give it to you for just bringing them up, but and I mean but Hov spit so sick on reasonable doubt that the only album I can match that with is paid in full on some real shit. Just think how them two albums change the mind of HIP HOP. That what makes them two the most powerful albums in history not his-story. ONE Good looking #9
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:18 pm
22 is smokin crack…wat “Can I live” wasnt a fuckin classic, or Dead President’s. Man u need to get a another dope dealer. wat shit u on?

August 3rd, 2007 at 4:44 pm
i was born in 87 and to me the greatest mcs in no particular order are rakim, big daddy kane, pac, nas, biggie, jigga, and eminem so far…
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:00 pm
Number 31 I can tell you just learned about “The Hood” today so you feel like you know what a dope dealer is, dope and crack are two different things dumbass and number 22 I never said Jay wasn’t one of the best I’m simply saying you tried to play Nas in order to validate what Jay said. Hell I like Reasonable Doubt too its good….Illmatic is better though…oh and I bet you prolly feel confidence in yourself because you feel like you “told someone off” on the net you prolly like “yeah I gave dude the business on the net what” lol
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:09 pm
actually black album is one of the best albums to come out in recent years, and thats only his third best. nobody can fu c wit him. P>S> Did yall here Kanye producin Nas new album wow!!!!!!!
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:11 pm
REASONABLE DOUBT YES BLUEPRINT NO MORE LIKE STILLMATIC AND IT WAS WRITTEN.AND Y DOES EVERYBODY OVER LOOK THESE FAGAT ASS RAPPERS IF JAY OR NAS WAS KISSING NIGGAS IN THE MOUTH OR N E WHERE PERIOD WOULD YOU RESPECT THEM?REAL TALK
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:16 pm
Jay became a legend when he got the better of Nas by fking his baby mama, then signing him afta all it was said and done, despite Nas having had Ethered him.
I bet Jay goes to sleep everyday laughing at that boy Nas,
back to topic:
for me Jay got 3 classics, the 3rd one being The Black album, yes i said the Black album is a classic!
so is GRODT,
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:17 pm
He’s the best hands down, and he stays relevant. Only a handful of rappers from that Big and Pac era have stayed around, and sells records to this day. I love Nas but he’s sometimes like a one dementional type of rapper. Nobody else should even be mentioned with Jay. I’ll make an exception for some rappers like Common, Redman, Wu and Outcast, but other than that nobody even comes close. Before people start naming legends like KRS, Rakim, and LL COOL J ask yourself when was the last time you where checkn’ for their albums?
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:23 pm
the thing w/ Jay is dat he’s beyond the music, bigger then the genre itself. dat position might’ve gone to biggie or pac but they both died. nas might’ve gotten dat position but he kinda fell off back in the day. jay took it where biggie left off and where nas kinda fell off and carried the genre for 8 str8 summers. he’s so far past the game dudes can never catch up.
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:46 pm
@22 nah son im black but Im just sayin how can you continue say you the best when you don’t even rap no more. He sittin on the sideline. It was his time already pass down the torch. If not make mixtapes, get some features, get in the studio. If not just stay CEO and leave the other rappers to fight for the crown……………..
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:48 pm
real talk u gotta fix this post cuz the shit cuts midway through the convo lol
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:49 pm
I think that Jay was good for his time as a rapper, but people have to realize that he can’t be the king of rap forever the torch has to be passed to the newer generation or else the genre wiould never progress to bigger and better things therfore i think for this time lil wayne is on top, he only following in the foot steps of what jay used to do in pass.jay just sounded cocky andfull of himself throughout the whole interview where was the humbleness,WE as fans made him what he is today therefore WE have the right to take it away and give the torch to someone else.how would it look for us to only hold the elders highly and not give the younger generation its chance.
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:25 pm

all the best to the new comers but going after jay’s record is foolish
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:45 pm
jay and Weezy are from different era. comparing them is meaningless.
Weezy is that nigga in this period of time but he needs a career with achievement now
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:54 pm
#43
“If not make mixtapes, get some features, get in the studio. If not just stay CEO and leave the other rappers to fight for the crown……………..”
I agree.
but him pretending to still be there puts fuel in the game. On the real if you a new comer u don’t need to battle him but maybe T.I or weezy or those new MCs with the most hype. Jay’s hall of fame it’s a new season now but it’s always good to hear dude on a track and i belioeve it will remain so.
Jay’s status is special man he like an UFO..
been there in the Biggie-Pac era, Bad Boy Era, DMX era, SOuth Era, and made all this the JAY ERA and he’s now controlling the game and making the most money and still pushing mad units… thing is no one really has the shoes to fill that position. maybe in 15 years
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:07 pm
The Interview was great ! Jay is a funny dude that swag
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:09 pm
hmmmm….what about the marshal mathers lp…..didnt that sell like umteen million….i think that sold more than any jay album…and it did more than get rich or die trying
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:17 pm
jay livin in the past, he hopped off biggie’s nuts and dropped a shitty ass kingdom come. more like kingdom done and over with hahaha. talkin bout 1996, that was like 11 years ago.
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:21 pm
i dont know how any of u buy into lil wayne sayin he is the best….the only people that should believe that is him even baby know it aint true….just cause the nigga got a lil buzz now after all them years (what is it like 12years)….out of 12 years he having like one or 2 good years and yall niggas think wayne is nice….wayne aint shit.lol…gimmie a break…game is way better than wayne every day of the week…why isnt game gettin all the buzz about being the greatest…cause 50 helped him?…wayne is a swagger jacker..and he aint writing all his shit either..all wayne got is buzz and the people that hopped on his nutz in the last year
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:36 pm
any 1 notice how he elaborated on how a wedding would be and talked about b freely
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:49 pm

August 3rd, 2007 at 10:49 pm
jay iz that dude and reasonable doubt iz a classic without a reasonable doubt,he iz the best rite now too not the hotteset but best, and evrything jay said i cosign, illmatic a classic too but nas been on and off,jay alwayz been consistent,@53 u a dumbass if u think game better then wayne, game drops a name in every line u the only dickrider to mention that nigga
August 3rd, 2007 at 10:56 pm
I love the fact that Jay-z is so chilled. To many rappers tryna act tough and add they 2 cents in on everything like that got the answer. Like he said on what he spit on the T.I. track. He’s talking about everybody that fits that description. You feel like he talking about ur favorite rapper then it is what it is.
August 4th, 2007 at 12:18 am
“Until someone makes an album better than Reasonable Doubt or Blueprint I’m the best out.”- Jay-Z hmmmm ? Have I missed something I’m sure Marshall Mathers LP was better than Reasonable Dobut Marshall Mather LP >>>> Reasonable Doubt.
August 4th, 2007 at 12:33 am
@64 nah he kno he waz talkin about wayne, but wayne never really came out and said he got beef wit jay,so if jay said he diss wayne it will look like he startin the beef and he has no reason to start it and y people keep bringin up eminem, were he at rite now?marshall mathers lp waz good but come on,and not bein racist but its true, he sells alot cuz he get alot respect in the black community for bein nice,so every white person go by hiz album
August 4th, 2007 at 1:49 am
Hova’ know he best at what he do,
August 4th, 2007 at 3:41 am

August 4th, 2007 at 3:43 am
LOL@66
August 4th, 2007 at 5:45 am
he must’ve forgot about pac & big. both of them had albums in between then. I kno snoop was still drop’n shît like a pigeon. but I say this interview was & directed towards lil wayne & all those claimin to be better than jay-z.
August 4th, 2007 at 6:40 am
WHILE PEOPLE CONTINUE TO ARGUE WHO IS BETTER. HOV IS LAUGHING STRAIGHT TO THE BANK WIT IT…HA-HA-HA-HA!!!
AS LONG AS PEOPLE CONTINUE TO DEBATE WHO IS BETTER, HE WILL REMAIN IN PEOPLES CONVERSTAIONS.
WEEZY IS HOT RIGHT NOW BUT WILL HE BE HOT TWO YEARS FROM NOW EVEN FOUR YEARS FROM NOW. HOV REMAINED HOT THROUGH OUT HIS TENURE IN THE RAP GAME. EVEN NOW PEOPLE NOW HE IS STILL A PROBLEM. HE SAID HIMSELF IF HE JUST HAD NITHING ELSE TO FOCUS ON HE CAN STILL PUT OUT A HOT ALBUM BUT THERES TO MUCH IN THE TABLE TO JUST FOCUS ON ONE THING. HE’S NOW CEO OF THE NUMBER ONE RAP LABEL. SO HE’S MATURED ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT EVENTUALLY SOME ELSE WILL BE IN CHARGE.
AGAIN I STATE THIS WHEN IT COMES TO LONGEVITY AND SUCCESS HE IS THAT DUDE. TO ME I THINK THATS WHY HE CONTINUES TO SAY HE IS THE BEST…
PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT EMINEM BUT IN MY HOOD OR ANY HOOD I’VE BEEN TOO NO ONE BE PLAYING ANY EMINEM MUSIC. NOT EVEN HOT97FM PLAY ANY OF HIS MUSIC. ONLY SOME WHITE KID LOCK UP IN HIS ROOM LISTENING TO HIM. AND THE REASON HE HAS SOLD RECORDS IS BECAUSE HE IS WHITE THE THE MAJORITY OF HIS FANS ARE WHITE.
SOME SAY HE BIT OF BIGGIES MATRERIAL HE ONLY TOOK BARS NOT ENTIRE RAPS FROM BIGGIE AND WHO EVER.
RAKIM WAS HOT WHEN HE WAS HOT. THEN CAME BIG DADDY KANE. THEN CAME NAS. THEN CAME BIGGIE. AFTER BIGGIE IT WAS JIGGAS TURN. AND HE REIGNED SUPREME LONGER THAN ANY OF THESE OTHER ARTIST. EXCLUDING BIGGIE WHO WAS MURDERED.
RIP BIG!!! NAS WELL HE ALWAYS INTO SOME DEEP SHIT THAT THE FANS WASN’T UNDERSTANDING. AND I THINK IT WAS JAY-Z WHO BROUGHT BACK NAS FROM THE DEAD. EVEN IF HE SPIT ETHER, HE MADE NAS HOT AGAIN. BUT EVEN IF HE SPIT ETHER NAS IS NOW A WORKER FOR THE BOY HOV.
EVERY PART OF THE COUNTRY SHOULD FEEL HAPPY THAT THEY HAVE THEIR OWN ICONS TO LOOK UP AT. EAST COAST JAY, BIGGIE, NAS, FIFTY ETC… DA SOUTH TI, WEEZY, LUDA ETC… THE WEST COAST ICE CUBE, TUPAC, SNOOP AND NOW GAME. DA MIDWEST EMINEM, KANYE, TWISTA, COMMON.
THERE ARE NO MORE PARTS OF THE UNITED STATES THAT DOESN’T HAVE THEIR OWN ICON.
RAP CAN AGAIN BECOME THE NUMBER ONE MUSIC IN THE INDUSTRY BUT ITS GONNA TAKE UNIFICATION. EVERYONE UNITE THEN EVERYONE EATS FROM THE SAME DISH(OTHER RAPPERS FAN BASE).
August 4th, 2007 at 6:44 am
hands down jay is the truth lyricaly he cant be touched and reasonable doubt is one of the best albums ever plus his accomplishments speak for itself 2 hotels 40/40s and talking about casinos thats the evolution from nothing to something remember it was a time he was living just like us god just had better plans for him and u gotta respect it
August 4th, 2007 at 6:45 am
its official.
yall niggas clowns and the world is coming to an end.
how the fuck is wayne better than jay-z.
ima say wayne is KOBE…. jayz is JORDAN.
and thats giving wayne the benefit of the doubt cause i would say he is paul pierce or some shit.
August 4th, 2007 at 6:57 am
AND ABOUT “KLEIN” WELL HOW HE GONNA SAY JAY WAS A SOLDIER BUT THEN BECAUSE HE DIDN’T GET SUPPORTED FINANCIALLY BY HOV HE GONNA GO AGAINST HIM. PLZ… TO LATE FOR ANY OF THAT MESS ANYWAYS. THE DUDE 10 ALBUMS STRONG AND MIXTAPE’S AND FEATURES THROUGH OUT HIS REIGN. MADE MUSIC WITH BIGGIE, EMINEM, DR DRE, RECENTLY NAS ETC.
I’M NOT THE KIND OF INDIVIDUAL THAT BELIEVES WHAT ANYBODY HAS TO SAY. I RESEARCH FIRST AND THEN COME UP WITH A FACT BASED CONCLUSION NOT AN OPINIATED ONE.
HOPEFULLY, SOMEDAY JAY WILL WORK WITH WEEZY. AND IT BE CALLED BEST OF BOTH ERAS….PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE. THE REIGN CONTINUES.
I BET WEEZY WANNA WORK WITH JAY. AND POSSIBLY HAVE HIM ON HIS CARTER 3 ALBUM. BUT BECAUSE HE CONTINUES TO CLAIM HE IS ALSO DIPSET. HE DOESN’T WANT TO GET SNUFFED BY JIM JONES.
August 4th, 2007 at 8:24 am
i will not lose…ever
August 4th, 2007 at 8:59 am
Hov is having meetings with Bill Gates, and we’re sitting here trying to compare him to Lil Wayne? I’m not knockin Lil Wayne, but it’s not fair, because they are on two different platforms, two different worlds.
August 4th, 2007 at 10:25 am
@74
These niggas cant see Hov on no level. His Wordplay, Flow, & Songwriting is somewhere else. All these Lil Wayne and Dipset want everything that Hov got, Classic Albums, Money, Beyonce, Legacy! Jay has proven himself over and over. Jigga held yall down 8 summers damn wheres the love.
August 4th, 2007 at 10:36 am
I just listened to the ENTIRE interview…WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THE VINEYARD HOV?…I SEE YOU….HAHAHA!…LOVES IT!
.
August 4th, 2007 at 11:35 am
I personally think “Ready to die” and “The Marshall Mathers LP” are both better than “Reasonable Doubt”. I mean don’t get me wrong, Jay-Z was my FAVORITE in his hay day, even had a little crush on him for a long while lol. But he has been hit and miss. Blueprint was a great album, but also a sigh of relief for his fans cuz we thought we lost him on Hardknock Vol 3.
His miss albums are;
In My Lifetime Vol 1 (the FIRST album I bought from him in ‘97, and ON CASSETTE too lol, I wore it out lol), which was his sophmore debut didn’t do well with the critics OR fans except for me, I LOVED IT lol. Imaginary Player is STILL one of my favs from him.
Hard Knock Vol 3 (NO HITS)
Roc La Familia (a compilation I love but no critical acclaim)
Blueprint 2 (not very popular and subpar even for him
And Honestly, Black Album was a disappointment in comparison to the media hype and what most of us were expecting. He sold well on that one cuz it was supposed to be his last, it was the HEIGHT of he and Beyonce’s relationship in the media and it had a movie to accompany it.
My point, he hasn’t givin’ us 8 straight summers. He is just a man like anyone else with THE BEST MARKETING TEAMS IN THE WORLD. He even has a marketing company of his own, that’s how good he is at it, and unfortainatly, in the last 17 years, Marketing matters more than Talent….but if you have BOTH like Hova, you are DEFINATLY going to succeed. But that doesn’t put in position to consider yourself G.O.A.T?! That just means you have more money to spend than everyone else and that is the way it has been for him his ENTIRE CAREER.
Put it like this, it’s like whoever in the Presidential candidacy that has a little swagger, but MORE MONEY is going to win, not that they are the best man for the job, they just had more money to spend to make the other guy look bad.
August 4th, 2007 at 11:53 am
HOV is HOV lmfaoo how can you even mention lil wayne as a top rapper or evn next to HOV. . all he talks about is money but hes only worth about 10 mill (if dat). . ii give him dat he say a few catchy lines “im old money i could have bought a dinosaur” but as a overall rapper the best NO
he doesnt do crazy numbers (mabe in ringtonez but defineitly not in albums) LMFAO nd im convinced him and baby still make more money off of drugs then dey do in dis music game
the only thing he has is his street buzz BUT HE IS NOT HOT IN NY nd you kno how the sayin goes “if ur not hot in NY your not hot at all” (in NY he jus got radio play in late 05 nd his only song dat was in any real rotation was stuntin like my daddy)
hov is write people need to make GOOD ALBUMS, in this music it is about albums sales i dun care how much ringtones you sell or how much people “like you” or how dedicated your fans are, IF UR NOT SELLIN UR NOT HOT

August 4th, 2007 at 2:06 pm
@77
I second that….
WHAT HE HAS ACOMPLISHED IS VERY HARD TO GET. This guy is from “MARCY PROJECTS”, HAS OVERCOME ALL OBSTACLES. AND IS AND SHOULD BE THE EXAMPLE OF HARD WORK PAYS OFF. PLUS HE’S A YOUNG BLACK MAN. HE DIDN’T HAVE A COLLEGE/SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP. HE CAME FROM FLUSHING AND NOSTRAND AND PARK AVE. I’M FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND WHEN I DRIVE BY MARCY PROJECTS ALL I THINK OF IS DAMN JAY-Z CAME FROM HERE AND NOW HE IS ON HIS WAY TO BECOMING A BILLIONAIRE. THE GUY IS YOUNG. I BET BEFORE HE’S FIFTY HE HAS BECOME A BILLIONAIRE. GOOD LUCK HOV. YOU HAVE MADE A COMMUNITY AND BOROUGH PROUD. BROOOOOOOOOOOOKLYN… COME ON!!!
HATE WHAT I’M SAYING OR EVEN DISPUTE IT. BUT WHAT OTHER YOUNG BLACK MALE FROM BROOKLYN HAS MADE IT…
MANY SAY THAT OTHERS ARE BETTER THAN HIM FROM NYC. BUT HE’S THE ONLY ONE THAT IS RICH REALLY RICH. AND HAS THE MOST ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
NAS NICE WITH THE PEN BUT WHAT HAS HE ACCOMPLISHED?
JADA ALSO WHAT HAS HE ACCOMPLISHED?
FIFTY HAS ACCOMPLIHED MORE THAN ANY OF THESE NEW RAPPERS. IN JUST A COUPLE OF YEARS. BUT WHO NEW THAT HE WOULD REALLY GET PAID LIKE HE JUST DID. WITH THE VITAMIN WATER COKE-COLA DEAL. THAT RIGHT THERE WAS LUCK….NOT EVEN FIFTY WOULD HAVE IMAGING THAT PAY DAY.
I DON’T MENTION NO ONE ELSE FROM NYC BECAUSE WHO ELSE?
MANY RAPPERS, M0STLY ALL OF THEM JUST WANT TO DROP AN ALBUM.
JUST GO TO ROCAFELLA RECORDS WEBSITE AND CHECK OUT HOV’S BIOGRAPHY AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS.. ITS A LONG LIST…
I BET EVEN DAME DASH REGARDLESS OF WHAT HAS HAPPEN BETWEEN THEM STILL KNOWS THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE HOV, AND I BET HE EVEN WISHES HIM THE BEST AND JUST HAPPY TO SEE WHERE HOV HAS TAKEN IT TOO. ANOTHER LEVEL..DIAMONDS UP..ROCAFELLA RECORDS.. YOU HEARD… HOPEFULLY THEY CAN COME BACK TOGETHER AND JUST DROP ONE MORE ALBUM AND A COUPLE OF VIDEOS AND A TOUR.
FEATURES BY KANYE, BEENIE,FREEWAY, YOUNG GUNNERS, PEEDI, TRU LIFE, INTERLUDE WITH DAME TALKING RECKLESS. (THAT COCKY ATTITUDE)HE ALWAYS HAD STRICTLY IN HOUSE. MAN THAT WOULD BE A VERY COMPETIVE ALBUM. I KNOW IT PROBABLY WON’T HAPPEN BUT IF IT DID, IT WOULD OUTSELL ANYONE DROPPING THE SAME TIME. SEE MANY PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THAT RE-UNION HAPPEN.

#79 got it right.
Jay was good for his time,he’s wack now and most of you idiots need to stop idolizing him cause theres plenty of talented artist out there that are yet to be heard,or aren’t given a chance. jay is rich and so what he came from the projects and made something of himself thats what you are supposed to do, you don’t come out of an environment like that and think its great to be a bum for the rest of ur life.u jacka&^% need to stop sucking his dick, and dissing people that arent jocking him hes not paying your rent or thinking about he running to the bank to buy himself some fresh gear and buy bee some more gifts.the man did good for himself but i aint gonna be listenming to no 68 year old talk about taking over blocks and flossin.stop being sheep he is not GOD.

^^^^^^^^^^^^Nigga quit hating. It’s not a good look. Jay is the best. Give me any artist that has continued to delivered as many hit albums as Jay for the period he has been in the business? Other wise quit hating! No one can touch him.

Jay Z is the best in his time. We can’t compare him to BIG and PAC; first of all BIG died early we did not get a chance to see him evolve to his fullest potential and PAC was only 24 even though he was in the business for seven years he got mixed up with dumb ass Suge and we did not get a chance to see the aftermath on that, we were robbed when they died, they sparked creativity and Hip Hop lost a lot of its spark. It seems like the artists are trying to make movies instead of expressing themselves and capturing their audiences. I am proud of Jay because he grew up right in front of our eyes and even though people take shots at him they all know he is and always will be HOVA the god. I hope we all accomplish what we dream of, he is a perfect example of a successful hip hop artist across the board.
