im not sure yet, but i think i like enough to buy her album. i love how she carries herself and her style of music. she doesnt have to show the world what she has to get money. some women feel like that being naked or a “vixen” is their ticket to stardom.

With great artist such as herself, a funny thing happens, our expectations are too damn high for her to match them.
And even if she had a weak single her album might be a classic.But i guess now people can stop comparing her to Stevie Wonder.But still,i like dat song;it sounds like one of these song that just grows on u, and maybe with time i’ll love dat song.Good job Ms.Keys

I’m sorry but Alicia Keys is the most over-rated black artist there is. The only reason ppl try to hype her up is b/c she plays an instrument. O.K so? How hard is it to take piano lessons b/c plenty of ppl play the piano. This song is not good and she is NOT a vocalist at all. Her voice is very mediocre b/c when she trys to hit them high notes she sounds like she’s straining. Ya’ll can say what ya’ll want about Beyonce but most ppl would take her over Alicia Keys and that’s b/c she can perform her ass off. Beyonce is very talented and no one questions that and just b/c Alicia can play a piano does not make her more talented. And on the other blogs ppl are really dissing this song so ya’ll need to stop hyping her up so much. I’m not hating but Alicia will need to do something besides play the piano b/c her singing game is not all that.

I’m feeling the song! I heard it for the first time on the radio yesterday in ATL and it bumps in the car. Alicia said on TRL that the song would be different from what people expect obviously that is what she wants. I think some people aren’t feeling it because they have expectations for what certain artists should be doing or shouldn’t but I can tell Ms. Keys is not allowing herself to be “typecast” so to speak. She is taking risks she is growing as an artist. I bet the second single will sound nothing like this song because she is not affraid to step out of her comfort zone. It is a hit, with no doubt! The emotion in her voice, the thing I have always liked about her is you can tell that she believes in what she is saying you can tell that she is apart of her entire creative process. Even though she seems to be singing about a romantic relationship she is so passionate in her delivery that it runs deeper. Also Alicia never said she was the savior of music or that because she plays piano that she should be looked at as the best…she just put out some music and people said those things about her. So she is just letting the music speak for her. People shouldn’t compare her to beyonce there is enough room in the game for both of these ladies they have two very different styles. I can appreciate both. I guess that is what we do though. Because you have two young, female, R&B artist we have to compare. Why can’t they just be different and be appreciated for those differences? Sorry this is so long. I just hate to see people bashing because they have this perfect image of what artistry is or isn’t in their minds and when to them she doesn’t hit that mark it is garbage or its overrated. Yet other artist get a pass because they are not known for their artisrty or as #23 said they can perform. I don’t think they should get a pass. Alicia can perform her music (Iv’e seen her live) and quite well I might add. So if Bee couldn’t perform (I guess we would have to go off of what perform is in your eyes)would she be considered so great. Can her music stand alone? Can her songs be hits without the visuals? Alicia’s can, and I’m not saying that makes Alicia better or worse it just makes them different. That is what the industry should be about, not a whole bunce of clones.If you think its overrated its your fault because you put it up on a pedastal not the artist. Keep Rockin AK. Why even compare her to Beyonce? Why not just give her props for her damn song without putting another artist down. All in all, this is a nice song. I personally think that this song is great. Its been a while since i have heard a song like this in a long time. Its beautiful. It kinda reminds of Lauryn Hill. Alicia is real talented. I like the song and like somebody else said it puts me in the frame of mind of Lauren Hill. I’m happy that Alicia comin’ back out b/c with Beyonce Mania over the last fwe years its been kinda’ hard 4 any other female artists 2 live.
