NBA Ref Possibly Bet On Games
A point-shaving scandal is an enormous problem in any sport. This one, which might involve an NBA referee, has the potential to permanently scar the league.
The NBA acknowledged Friday the FBI is investigating Tim Donaghy for betting on games, including ones in which he officiated.
According to a law enforcement official, authorities are examining whether the referee made calls to affect the point spread in games on which he or associates had wagered thousands of dollars over the past two seasons.
I am not surprised at all. The FBI should investigate how the Lakers beat he Blazers in the Game 7 a while back too.

Portland Choked game 7
July 21st, 2007 at 12:42 pm
Easy, Lakers beat Blazers a while back because Blazers fucking suck.
July 21st, 2007 at 1:57 pm
Realtalk is right about the Blazers back then because they got robbed on that last play on game 7. And for your information the blazer didn’t suck at that time they had Damon Stoudamire, Steve Smith, Scottie Pippen, Rasheed Wallace, and that big white dude zabonis or something like that anyways their bench was deep 2. also if they sucked how come the took the lakers all they way 2 game 7 ya retarded Comment #5 hooper and anybody that agree with him Don’t know shit about the nba.last to clear things up on the last play steve smith was fouled hard and the ref didn’t make the and every body agree it was a foul even the commentators and you could clearly see it on the replay. Then after that the lakers got the ball and scored to win the game but the game should been over? that’s what realtalk was talking about “The FBI should investigate how the Lakers beat he Blazers in the Game 7 a while back too” so think before ya talk.

man i hope all the betting and shit was all worth it. he is a fucking sucka. so now watch as they try to pin a player or two in on it. yeah the lakers do dominate but um their year could have been alot better. co-sign with #3 but do you honestly think that, thats going to happen??? HELL NO!!!!!!!
July 21st, 2007 at 2:08 pm
#13 you failed to mention how the blazers choked with a 15 point lead in the 4th…
July 21st, 2007 at 2:41 pm
Correction on my previous comment. (retarded Comment #6 hooper)not #5.This is for #15 Wally you right about that the blazers losing the 15 point lead but they still got robbed on that last call and i understand that sometimes the ref dont like to make calls that could decide a game but that was clearly a foul. That’s why even Realtalk mention it so hte real question is whether the ref were paid to let the lakers win?
July 21st, 2007 at 2:56 pm
same thing could be said about many late game no calls..not just lakers games…for example and most recently when lebron got fouled by bowen in the finals there was no call…
btw it aint hard to tell that ima diehard lakers fan…
since worthy cooper scott karim and magic days

I know what you u saying Wally and you right and alot teams get robbed on late game no calls so you feel that’s right for the ref to let that go why a mistake is understandable but come on game 7 and they gonna pull that bullshit that’s not right. Also with when lebron gettin fouled by bowen in the finals that’s wasn’t right they could of won that game if that call would went the other way is bullshit not that Cleveland winning that game would of made a difference on the outcome. Am not a laker hater it just happen to be that we using them as an example, because this is bigger than the lakers is about the Ref the people that decide games. Realtalk 1

July 22nd, 2007 at 9:21 pm
Ummmmmm, is it jus me or does anybody NOT remember how the refs TOOK the series from SACRAMENTO and handed it to the LAKERS in 2000 or 2001 (can’t really remember exact year) in the western conference finals???!!!?!?!??!!
Duz anybody remember when KOBE BRYANT INBOUNDED THE BASKETBALL TO A TEAMATE AND THEN RAN RIGHT TOWARD MIKE BIBBY AND GAVE HIM A JOHN CENA FOREARM ST8 2 HIS GRILL AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO CALL!!!!!!!!!!! Kobe laid Mike Bibby out and then caught the ball after the no-call and layed it up during crucial minutes in the 4 quarter.
I am not a Lakers fan or a Sactown fan or a Kobe hater for that fact. I jus know that Sacramento had that series won, but the refs bailed LA out time after time after time after time after time after time after, well I think u get the idea.
July 23rd, 2007 at 10:16 am
Was he the ref when KOBE dropped 81 on the raptors? Prolly. It makes sense now b.
