His album had lackluster reviews and sales, while Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake sold. I do agree with Timbaland in that production in the music world is boring. I feel the reason Timbaland hasn't garnered as much acclaim (not necessarily attention because we all know who he is) is because he produces songs that really lack substance. Although they might have tight beats, they aren't saying much. Therefore, fans and listeners don't take his music seriously. Tight beats don't win grammy's.
