With this head in the sand attitude we are destined to live the persecution again! Don't say it can't happen; we need to safeguard what others have fought and gave their lives for in order that we could even be so ignorant as to say "It's just a word" It's not just a word, it's a desecration of an entire race, my race and I'm ashamed of all who use the word and feel it doesn't hurt anyone. It hurts, it hurts my ancestors, it hurts me and it hurts all Black people. To disregard it as nothing doesn't make one numb to what it's doing; I'm sorry it makes one, dumb to allow it. Other nationalities understand demoralization, how can Blacks not get it? It is because of the people during the civil rights movement that we can even get on this computer and type our opinions. There have been so many of our people who have died and who have been beaten just so we can have certain rights that should have been given to us by the constitution (Oh yeah, we weren't even considered a whole individual).
