Keyshia Cole’s, “The Way It Is,” Gets A Second Season On BET
If you didn’t get enough of Keyshia Cole and the way it was last year on her hit BET docu-drama reality series, your hunger will be more than satisfied when BET cameras once again track her drama-filled life in Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is 2, starting in October.
The first season of the top-rated Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is gave viewers insight into what it took for Keyshia to rise up from her troubled past as the daughter of a drug addict growing up in Oakland, Calif., to become a critically acclaimed, platinum-selling R&B superstar.
Produced by BET and DuBose Entertainment, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is 2 promises to be even more compelling and intriguing than its inaugural season. The six-episode season 2 will focus on Keyshia’s continued growth and evolution, as well as her efforts to rebuild her strained relationship with her mother and a search to find her supposedly dead father. It’s riveting, poignant and entertaining – just like Keyshia.
“Last year we witnessed so many incredible moments in Keyshia’s life, and the season was truly compelling – especially the last episode between Keyshia and her mom,” said Reginald Hudlin, President of Entertainment, BET. “I couldn’t wait to bring the series back, so our audiences could once again enjoy this honest and exclusive storytelling.”
“This season is a must-see,” says James DuBose, Executive Producer. “In terms of real life, this is an inspirational story-young or old, black or white, it doesn’t matter. Everyone will be inspired by the strength and fortitude of Keyshia Cole.”

co-sign #6. I’m glad they are not renewing another season of that mess of a show that was DMX’S lol. I think reality T.V is the way BET needs to go like all the rest of the music channels. MTV has been thriving off of reality T.V. for most of their existance, especially the last 17 years.
I was checking the billboards yesterday and realized DMX has another album out. Did anyone else know that? What is his new single.

I really like keyshia because she had a really hard struggle to get where she is at, I believe that average people who grow up in the hood can relate to everything that Keyshia has going on, from climbing from the bottom and making it to the top, family relationship problems. Keyshia is a really inspiration to the younger generation especially females she let them know that the road is rough but to never give up on your dreams no matter what they are.
