Cassidy caused an uproar with some recent freestyle lines being looked at as disses. RealTalkNY recently talked to Cassidy about the lines(Link), and he has released a new freestyle addressing the issue. He gives props to Lil Wayne, T.I. & Young Jock, but there is no mention of 50 Cent.

Oh yea i forgot to tell you that DJ Drama and Cass are cool and they are both from Philly. BUT Drama is more cool with Lil Wayne, T.I. , and Yung Joc not only becuz they are from the south,but that he DJ for T.I., does alot of mixtapes for Lil Wayne and support Yung joc by playing his corny records and being in his videos.

In addition, DJ Drama and “Gangsta Grills” controls the marketing down south simply by dictating what records get play on Southern radio. So dont expect alot of NY records or East coast records to get played down there in ATL unless he gets fired for being biased and trying to keep Hip-Hop southern.

So the moral of the story is if you are from the east or west and want to get played in ATL or anywhere in the south you gotta have a good relationship with DJ Drama or have a southern sound to your records. 3. I think that the reason Cass made this is yea he was told to fall back mainly because of one reason in my opinion. Alot of rappers feel that this has potential to turn into a coast vs. coast thing again and we know what comes out of that(regardless of who is more lyrical, there is no singing to the bullet) But if that is the case they should not have made him retract his statement since he just destroyed murda mook. Also with Stack bundles getting killed, who was getting some eastcoast underground buzz, that might be another reason.
