Akon Says Musicians Don’t Need To Use Curse Words
R&B singer Akon has echoed music mogul Russell Simmons’ call for hip-hop to be censored for broadcast, declaring the urban scene is “talented enough to write lyrics” without curse words.
“Me personally, I would have no problem getting rid of it, words on any record for anybody, I think we are talented enough to write lyrics for songs without using that type of language. I think it’s a good thing for the positivity of hip-hop in general.
“And at the same time, I look at it like, words in general, stuff like that, words are only what you make it. At the end of the day, it’s just a word - it wouldn’t mean anything if we didn’t react on it, so it’s more of a mind state, people just have to be willing to change.”
I agree with Akon fully, artist don’t need to use curse words to fill up space on songs. A curse here and there is fine, but when it gets repetitive they are just using it to bs their way through a song. But didn’t Akon just have a single with the chorus, “I Wanna to F*** You”?

That’s what I’m sayin Akon is a hypocrite
lol thats what I’m saying..but lets give him a chance and see if he changes
Will he stop humping people on stage? That’s the question. A married man shouldn’t be doing that AND he has a very large teenage following that are very influenced by what they see more so than what they hear.
Sometimes cursing brings out the raw emotion in a song, but for the most part I agree rapperz sometimes throw in the word “nigga” or “fuck” to fill up space in a song.
COSIGN WITH JAMROCK
and i think it will be a good thing for the positivity in hip-hop if you would refrain yourself from dry humping little girls on stage…he just contradicted himself. A mean he entitled to say whatever he wants to say but, lets no go that far..
