love the beat , not at all impressed with the antics of saigon.. nor pap or any other same style rapper right now.. that mixtape to industry transition does not have a spark like it used too .. the last true powerful transitions from mix tape to hit were of course F.A.B.O.L.O.U.S AND 50 CENT because they harneced what it took to rock on all levels consistently . I hope saigon reads this , I think hes a great lyricist off and on .. dont get it twisted but overall his image sucks, and the ways he goes about his business is not at all up to par or even innovative he and many others today are results of artists who do not have 100 % control over their projects and lack creative structure, any body can just jump in the booth and have some slick shit to say , but music is a artform and also a job in which you earn revenue like any other in the world .. its really important you broaden your way of thinking and be serious about what you do .. the violent im a smack & clap this and that has been far over done.. look at pap.. 80 niggas with him in all those damn dvd skits ?? i mean really .. him and saig said there albums were gonna be out early this year and no word about anything yet .. get it together .. this record will spin for about 3 weeks and then fade like saigons prior… it aint really poppin off that big. just make some noise & fade thats whats happening and hopefully you get your rightfull cut out of whatever you make off this mystery album .. wheres the powerfull and influential artists now a days?? the people that we really used to love listening too ?? their either R.I.P or retired. now we settle for this shit .. so when we get hyped up about these niggas … trust its mainly because there is nothing of value out !! not because your nice.
I agree wit #6 but u left out jeezy when u talked about rappers who transition from mixtape success to hit…I think he made a crazy buzz then served us with the hits also
not feelin the track i kno saigon can do waaay better..and the beat is mediocre its not great as every1 is makin it out to be on here..sounds like track02 on kingdom come
man why ppls think saigon lyrics was tight on here
thats the best lyrics i dont heard in a while
yes he can do better but not many other of these wack rapper can even do what he did on this song
i dont get the hiphop fans anymore you guys are backwards
why pple think saigons lyrics wasnt good on this track
i dont get the fans now adays
theres not many rappers out now who could have rip the beat better
damn why pple be hattin on him
#6 That’s one of the realest things said on your blog by you. Guns and drugs are over. So many say it, it has lost it’s appeal. I like the song but I am not backflippin’. Is that even possible anymore???? I miss the days when it was ya know? Real talk NY no shameless plug here but I freestyled over a Just Blaze track hitting the same corner as you.
y’all hypin this beat. i swear all just blaze beats sound the same these days. and this got jay-z written all over it. saigon came correct with the lyrics. fuck u guys want from him?!
I Am a “TRUE” Faithful Saigon Fan. But This is horrible for a single (usually I get chills when hearing saigon). This sounded to overdone. Usually Saigon raps over mediocre beats and he stands out. Yeah the beat is kind of crazy, but it is drowning Saigon’s artisticly ability. A good example to use is Sounds like Saigon and the Beat are having a shouting match and it does not blend in too well. In other words one gotta give. If the whole album sound like this were gonna have a problem.
YO I SENT THIS IN TO REAL TALK!!!! IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!
anyway
OMG this is so fire. if this is any indication of what the album is gona be like ITS OVER!!!! NO ONE SHOULD RELEASE ANOTHER CD THIS YEAR! SAIGON GETS AOTY!
wow i just read everyone’s comments. have you all lost your minds? no wonder lil wayne and lil jeezy is hot. no one appreciates talent or skill anymore. seriously put the fuckin pipes down. all of you. this is one of the hottest singles ive heard in a long time. all of you saying “oh he has no mainstream appeal” so? if you really think thats the case then maybe the problem is the mainstream and not the artists trying to break into it. if saigon was singing about ay bay bay or pop lock and drop it hed already be in the mainstream.
and at NUMBER 13, if you think hes not saying anything, listen to the fucking track again. the line about entourage was actually a really hot punch, maybe it just went over your head. sounds like a personal problem to me. maybe if saigon dumbed himself down for you singing about how his chain hangs low youd understand.
i guess rappers need to keep it simple for you people cause you cant even recognize greatness anymore. it makes me sick to think the reception artists like nas or rakim would have if they came out in today’s market.
what yall been listening to cuz this shit is fire
i just dont get it why pple hattin
cuz the beat and lyrics aint simple enough
damn hip hop aint dead u fans just need to learn how to listen for it
stop hatin on NY and let them get there play
fuckit stopin hatin period
from the south they should let Little Brother get there play
from the north theyshould let papoose and saigon get there play
from the midwest they should let Royce Da 5′9 get play
from west coast they should let crooked I and Sly Boogy
YOU right Anon. WHEN I heard this song I thought of “u don’t know”. I think JAY WROTE THIS SONG. THOSE ARE THE SAME KIND OF PHRASES AND WORDS THAT WOULD COME OUT OF Hov’s mouth. Just think it’s Jay spittin instead off saigon.
SOME OF Y’ALL ACT LIKE RECORD LABEL REPS. ALL THAT MATTERS IS IF IT’S A GOOD SONG. OF COURSE IT’S A DOPE SONG AND BETTER THAN EVERYTHING OUT RIGHT NOW. STOP OVERTHINKIN THIS AND WORRYING ABOUT THE MARKETING. AND STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT NOT BEING CROSSOVER OR CLUB. OPEN WHAT’S LEFT OF UR MIND THAT THA RADIO AND 106 & PARK HASN’T ALREADY TAKEN. I KNOW SOME OF Y’ALL R USED TO BEING DICTATED TO BY THA MAINSTREAM ABOUT WHAT’S HOT AND WHAT’S NOT OR WHAT’S AN ACCEPTABLE SINGLE. WHO CARES IF IT’S GETTING PLAYED IN THA CLUB? I GUARANTEE MOST, IF NOT ALL OF THA PPUL WHO DON’T LIKE THIS SONG BC IT’S NOT “CROSSOVER” ONLY LISTEN TO RAP.
AYEEEE AINT THERE A REMIX OF THIZ WIT JAY-Z ??HOVA WOULD KILL THIZ SHIT …AINT NOBODY COPPN SAIGON ALBUM HE DID AIGHT ON THIZ ONE BUT THE BEAT OUTSHINES HIM ITZ ALL GOOD THO -1-
The beat is ridiculous. Swizz Beatz, you better watch yo back. Saigon is nice, but I still think Just should of let someone else rhyme over this beat.

July 14th, 2007 at 7:13 am
Co-sign 6 & 7. It’s okay for the mixed tapes but absoultly no crossover appeal what so ever.
July 14th, 2007 at 7:20 am

July 14th, 2007 at 7:29 am

Saigon is ASSSSS, I have NO IDEA why so many dudes always be sweatin this nigga.
July 15th, 2007 at 5:00 am
Damn…
he still said “I spit on just more than a mic” lol
But if this is the first single unfortunately I’m predicting
As low as 66,000 or as high as 125,000 for Saigon the first week…
Well, maybe his second single will have a little more crossover appeal.
Sai fuck being real you gotta EAT!
Ima still cop the album though, there you go son, 66,001
July 15th, 2007 at 9:30 am
First off I aint a HATER….I like Saigons music, but Just should of gave that beat to somebody else.
Case and Point… Saigon was out of breath through the whole track and the track had too much energy for him.
Not sayin it wasnt good, but that could of been a better song with the right person on it.
July 15th, 2007 at 10:04 am
