T.I. Still Tight Over Not Winning A Grammy
Accoridng to WENN, T.I. recently stated:
“I had the album of the year whether I won a Grammy for it or not.I think numbers show that. I think that if you go out to anybody on the streets and ask them, they’ll tell you.”
“I think that it’s a no-brainer. You ask him [Ludacris], he’ll probably tell you the same thing. Come on, man, who in hip-hop doesn’t know that? If you a supporter of hip-hop, who doesn’t know that ‘King’ is the only platinum album that dropped last year… that was platinum by the time the New Year’s bell rung? At 12:01, January 1, 2007, who had the hottest album of the year? I think it’s unanimous.”
A lot of people agree with T.I. but there is nothing you can do about it now. You can only work to win the award this year, which will be very very hard to do.

TI is a fucking idiot. What does sales have to do with the best album? I’m not even saying it was or wasn’t the best album but sales has nothing to do with it.

In my opinion it was da best fa 06. Unless I’m missing sumbody it was da only COMPLETE album released last year.
well neither T.I. nor Luda’s albums were even that great i kinda look at it like this, T.I. had 2 HUGE monster singles back 2 back “what you know” and “why u wanna” that should constitute 4 something. luda never really had a huge single 2 help bring attention to his album. “Money Maker” got play but eventually just fizzled out. while T.I’s first 2 singles got played 2 the point of ad nauseum and for that i think T.I shouldve won the award. plus i think it was kinda messed up that Luda heard Saigon’s song and pretty much swagger jacked the entire thing (if not copy it word 4 word) and called it “Runaway Love” and take all the credit 4 it. that song is prolly why Luda got the grammy in the 1st place so actually Saigon shouldve gotten that award. regardless if i had 2 choose between T.I’s album and Luda’s album, id choose neither and choose “Kingdom Come” instead

I agree with T.I!!! Urban Legand was a GREAT album too IMO. I like Luda, but after Red Light District and the last album, I am not such a strong fan anymore.
But, T.I. can’t do shit about it now but try harder next time so stop whinning because it’s NOT gangsta!!!

therevis a deadline on which albums can be nominated, I think the cut off is albums that came out after september. those items will be up for awards next year. Kingdom Come came out end of November.

^^^completely wrong. There were interviews with Luda talking about his song long before saigons’ ever came(early 05). Cause he also stated that he wanted Spike Lee to direct his video. So nobody swagger jacked anybody, because luda more than likely recorded it first but saigons came out first.
