Lauryn Hill Concert Review 6/27
How bad was this concert? Well, calling it a fiasco would be an insult to fiascos everywhere. It was bad enough to send 75 to 100 fans into the lobby only four songs into the set, all of them grumbling loudly and demanding refunds. Those were the smart ones _ the rest of us remained in our seats and watched what amounted to a two-hour train wreck.
In all, Hill didn’t manage to provide one good reason why locals should remain in her fan camp. I’d like to tell you different, but that would clearly be a “miseducation” of the readers.

Damn shorty sound like she is finished. What the hell happened? She dropped a crazy album, was doing movies then went crazy. Damn someone brain-washed her or something, sad to see such a great talent go out like this. People are still holding on to hope of another album, but damn it is not looking good.

I was at this concert last night at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland….it was one of the saddest events to ever occur in music…i have loved Miss Hill since way back in sister act…but damn….its a damn shame what drugs can do to u…she was falling all over the place, couldnt sing worth a damn…voice all raspy..sounded more like dmx…she spoke every lyric and you could barely understand what was playing….I sat there and couldnt believe that I was acutally about to walk out of a Lauryn Hill concert…I was one of the people who demanded a refund…ill be damned if im paying $70+ to see such a beautiful talent flush down the drain…R.I.P the REAL L Boogie…if she can come back from this performance and make anything close to Miseducation…ill consider it one of the greatest comebacks of all time…i pray this happens because I cant remember Lauryn Hill like this….
After reading the full story I am sad that people feel that way but I still can’t wait to see her when she comes to my area I hope by then all the wrinkles are ironed out. It’s a shame the city of Oakland had to be the test dummies but I do hope the true Lauren Hill fans pray for her because she is THE TRUTH!

Sorry but only GOD is the TRUTH! Lauryn is just a hasbeen, Lauryn was on top of her game way back when and she was the bomb, but every artist has their time, and time comes then goes. Even the GREAT artists have their time to shine then fizzle (i.e Michael, Janet, Diana Ross) to name a few. SO don’t be expecting a comback from lauryn hill because her time is up. What she did in the past was great, ‘miseducation’ was a classic and she accomplished so much, now it’s time for her to step down.
Get outta here she does speak the truth and who are you to say she won’t be coming back?? Are you in her back pocket? She had one concert after almost a decade of being out of the lime light and you just totally cancel her for good? Thats so weak…
Like I said the true fans just need to pray, cause all you fake fans need to check ya self on this judgement bull cause only God can judge!

im always gonna be a lauryn hill fan no matter what. i didnt really like her cd, but ill always be a fan of hers. i was watchin an awards show one time and she had won an award. when she went up to get it, she gave a shout out to a little kid that she knew who had aids. she told the kid that the lord had a plan for her and started cryin. for a person to be humble enough to do somethin like that while they are acceptin an award is such a good look that im always going to support her. shout out to the girl lauryn hill. ya boy gonna support u no matter what REALTALK

I saw Lauryn Hill at pala casino and it was a failure,she came out in a trench coat and purse a raspy voice and late arrival and an early departure,where the hell is the real Lauryn Hill?
I am sorry to say the Pala concert was the first concert ticket I ever bought myself and yes, it was HORRID. She made me regret thinking she would be good. WOW. Yes, WTF was going on with the trenchcoat!!!!!!!!
