Stop The Madness: South Side Chicago Gang Violence Out Of Control
28 Dead. 28 young people. Boys and girls, sons and daughters.
Since January, 28 public school students have been murdered. At least 20 were shot. Some were stabbed or suffocated. Most of the killings were gang related and took place on Chicago’s south side.
The kids in the streets these days really don’t care if they live or die. I can not understand how you can just go around killing people like it’s nothing and not expect to get caught. The sad thing is once they got that mentality it is not often that they are able to break out of it. I just hope the kids with goals and plans for the future can make it out alive, be it the South Side Of Chicago or whatever hood they reside in.

For real man I pray that the good ones make it. It sucks that alot of them have to be stuck around dumb fucks who could careless about tomorrow, I know exactly what they are going through. Even though Miami aint all that bad, certainly not worse than the Chi, I still go to school with the fuck ups, alot of my peers just come to school to socialize and be gangstas and act all hard and shit knowing damn well if they were ever confronted with real shit they wouldn’t know what to do, whats worse than a fuck up is a FAKE fuck up.

Yeah i Watched that special on CNN the other day..that shit is terrible whats going on in our hoods..and true that shit aint no difference with whats going on in Detroit it be some wild shit going on around this muthafucka that just might blow ya mind…truly that shit needs to stop,will it? nah i doubt it,is rap to blame,hell no not in my mind…but to each his own..peace
its no one you can blame, but the kids getting involved in gangs.
if its one person who can live in the hood and not get involved in gangs and make something out of their life. than everyone else doesnt have an excuse.
its a choice they make, their parents, or rap music dont have shit to do with it.
they can be the most sheltered gospel listenin to kid, but feel peer pressure to join a gang and its a wrap for them.
this is nothing new. chicago has always had these problems…remember yummy sandifer? the 11 year old who shot and killed a 14 year old girl, and then he himself was killed by a 14 year old gang member in south chicago…that was in 93..tupac talked about him in “White Man’s World”

Yeah man…this always happens in the Chi when the weather gets hot. Things were actually a lot worse in the late 80s. Them GDs weren’t playing back then. Hell they didn’t even talk about the sh*t that pops off on the west side. The south side aint worse, it’s just bigger.
this shit happens everyday in my area im born and raised on the south side of the chi…and this shit thats reported is nowhere near a 16th of what acrually goes on in the chi…and # 7 is rite the south side is just more space for more muthafuckas to do dumb shit this bullshit happens all over chicago…its even lames in the suburbs tryna bus guns to get a tough reputation
Its out of line in all of our neighborhoods. Philly is on pace to past 420 murders and it’s not even the summer yet. The school system is messed up; they just made a billion dollar cut to a budget that was already in the negative. It’s out of control…I feel for those who want to better themselves and do better but a couple of dumbasses mess it up for everybody.

Ya’ll thin it’s crazy in chi-town ya’ll need to take a trip to philly. Shit is fucked up everywhere, kids need role models to look u to. Rappers say they aren’t role models the parents need to be that, but what about the kids who parents are strung out? If shit is ever gonna change EVERYBODY needs to start taking responsibility.
Yea its some pretty fucked up places all over but Philly is wild i hear mad stories about that shit. The inner city struggle is universal though, we need that unity like Dr.MLK had us like in the 50’s and 60’s. Coz we only proven the statistics on minorities as being tru with this kinda stuff, but change dont happen over night ya dig.
