Fabolous Debuts #2 With 159,000 Records Sold
Fabolous new album, “From Nothin’ to Somethin’
,” is number 2 on the charts with 159,000 records sold. The only other rap album in the top 10 is DJ Khaled’s, “We The Best,” selling little under 80,000 records. Seems like Young Buck is right, those first week sales are usually around 150-200k for a solid debut. Times have changed, Fabolous last album, “RealTalk(2004),” sold about 180,000 records in the first week and was sixth place.
Looks like the next single will be, “Baby Don’t Go,” featuring T-Pain, GOOD MOVE. Info on the album

It’s sad that people have to be happy about 159,000 sold but thats the new platinum. I can’t say much cause i download to but damn even the whites are downloading now so its a rap for any type of hip hop. Hey maybe since fabo got a-kon (and to me its one of the hottest songs on the album) on the album he might sell just because of that since i heard he going triple trillon diamond.lol

The album is good. I like the Junior Reid track. Most of his features are hooks. You have to understand that itunes allows the consumer to purchase a track instead of the album. It’s kinda like when they used to sell singles. When the singles fell off, niggas was going diamond because you had to buy the whole album to listen to the favorite track.
Hip Hop will be dead in about six years. The crackers are gonna take it over and we’ll have to do something new.

ON TOP OF THAT HE PUT OUT 4 SINGLES (I’M COUNTING THE WORST TRACK ON THE ALBUM HE’S ABOUT TO PUT OUT “BABY DON’T GO”)PLUS FAB HAS BEEN OUT FOR SIX YEARS SO HE’S HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO BUILD A LARGE FAN BASE. NOW THE HAVING THE NUMBER TWO SPOT AIN’T MUCH MAINLY BECAUSE IT AIN’T HARD TO GET IT WHEN THE ONLY OTHER RAP ALBUM TO DROP WAS DJ KHALED (HE’S THE WOOORRSSSTTT!!!) IF T.I.
