Is Andre 3000 One Of The Most Underrated MCs In The Game?
I feel like Andre 3000 doesn’t enough recognition eventhough he has been dropping some hot verses lately. His verse on the, “Walk It Out Remix,” and of course the song above are fire. Unlike a lot of rappers, Andre lyrics make sense and have a purpose to them. Maybe he doesn’t get a lot of buzz because he doesn’t flood the radio with his music. What are your thoughts on Andre 3000?

Coming from somebody in the south we respect Dre, its just when he go solo he tends to sing and release diverse music which everybody respects, but 3000 and Big Boy can both spit that why Outkast will forever be remember as one of the greatest groups

Definitley….Thats where some people get it twisted about tha state of Hip-Hop….Andre 3stacks, UGK, T.I, they all put out hot music, so when a person says fuck that snap shit, people take it like a diss to all southern artist, but thats not the case…I could see how a 3 stacks could be someones favorite artist and I aint mad…But when radio tries to MAKE me like a song…I hate that shit. I think he doesn’t get enough recognition for his lyrical talent is because he come off to be a little wierd to SOME people and a little to the left, to the left simply becuz of the way he dress and some of his solo videos. (But that is excluding me, I think OutKast is the best Hip-Hop group to ever do it and Andre 300 is very unique with his style overall. And this is coming from a New Yorker. Ya digg)

He went through that phase when he was with Badu that just was very confusing to me, but in the past 6 months, he’s been on his A+ game with the Walk It Out Remix verse, the Devin track and the UGK verse. It’s crazy because when you go into his lyrics past the surface, they have so much meaning. Right now, he seems to be able to balance that unique style and still spit shit that is current and people can relate to. Major salute to Dre.

The only reason why people fail to realize the fact that he is the best is because:
A. He is part of a group
B. He is a artist first before he is a rapper.
I’m 25 now, before 2Pac & Outkast, I only paid attention to beats, flows, and hooks. Pac & ‘Kast changed that real quick.

Andre 3000 is indeed underrated, Kast has one of the strongest discographies in hip-hop, and Dre’s whole rapping style is mad unique. His lyrics are always entertaining and clever, dude is def. a top 10 MC imo. He is certainly at his best when he is focusing on rapping rather than singing or combining the two.

Andre 3000 is definitely under rated and has been for years now. When it comes to flows he has one of the most versatile and killa flows out there. His metaphors are crazy and he paint pictures everytime he spits. There aren’t many lyricist out there but I can guarantee that he is in the top 10 if not the top 5 as far as best lyricist go.

I been an Outkast fan for a long time i remembered when they both were equally good with the flow on southernplayisticadillacmusic and ATLiens. I think Big boi matured more lyrically on Aquemini but Dre was still on point. The next two albums I would say it was mostly Big Boi but Dre was trying his creative style like singing and producing which i think if he didnt experimented he wouldnt have matured as well as he do now. That walk it out remix verse was fire. The you remix was hot too. But on International player’s anthem (I choose you), he ripped that partial acapella part on his verse which was the longest out of all of them in the song. It was a good look how his verse ended out to that hot beat that went well with Pimp C’s flow. My favorite word play was when he said “I’m so like a Pip (Pimp), I’m Gladys Knight (Glad its night).

Even dudes say Talib and Mos are nice they give them their respect as MC’s they might not buy the record or bump it but they get they due, Andre? Ok lets get one thing straight….. Theres Dre and theres the rest.
Im not gonna go through his whole career and say why he is the best ARTIST/RAPPER/LYRICIST/BEING that Hip-Hop has ever had. But what I will point out is some points on why I have this opinion….. else if i write down everything I’d be here all day and the next and so on.
The whole concept and lyrics and everything on the “Walk It Out Remix” is beyond anything that I’ve heard before. Best verse in Hip-Hop…..period. What verse do you know that mocks the songs “target market”, that is beyond intelligent but still simple enough for the “White-Tees-” to understand(well some anyway) and still makes them bounce to it. Its like wearing the “Hood” but mocking the “hood” ….genious! Then finish’s off by saying
“Not sayin I’m the best but ’til they find somethin better
I am here, no fear, write me a letter”
Theres alot more I could say about this verse, but you can work it out for yourselves. Dont get me wrong he has had other verse’s that are better lyrically, but not concept wise.
His verse on Kelis “Millionaire” is perfect, i feel honoured listening to it everytime….. beyond-human-thinking. From “Hootie Hoo” to “Mighty O”, hes either panning out a whole movie in a verse-worth or hes getting the most even “Gangsta-Enthusiast” noddin to one of his pop songs.
I just cant believe that people dont have at least some “intelligence”, to know how UNBELIEVABLE he is
Always spits beyond-par verses, released one of the greatest “pop” songs of the last decade, produced and solo- starred in a “geniously-music” album, spit intelligence and make you bump to it at the same time e.g B.O.B, release songs/verse’s that chastise its listeners but they the one’s diggin it, have everyone singing in 50’s jargon and then coming through with “spell-bounding” verses like “Mighty O” and “Hollywood Divorce”….. i mean i could go on until “3000″ and thats not exaggerating.
Only one artist can ‘fit” in just about anywhere in the music world and thats ANDRE 3000…..

Andre 3Stax and Cee-Lo are the most underrated rappers out there. They are both WAY ahead of their time. THey can make pop songs that everyone loves (Hey Ya and Crazy), but also create verses and songs that everyone can relate to. I mean look at 3000 on Walk It Out, he basically rips Unk and all the other white-tee freaks, and they don’t even realize it because they buy the song anyway. Dre 3000 is underrated because we are slipping and have been bamboozled by the industry a nice beat and a catchy hook….meanwhile the “artist” spits out lukewarm bullsh@t and we fall for it. Artists like DRE, Common, Mos Def, Nas, Talib make you stop think, pick up a dictionary, read a book, plant a tree, hell do something and it scares us.
