I love monch as a kid him and mos def was the best of the Rawkus// okayplayer bunch.
They dope because unlike most back types they are good live preformers and they do little mellodies and it does nott get boring listening to them.
and “oh no” was the joint !

I know why BryRican shouldn’t win…apparently you don’t know anything about him either otherwise you’d be able to spell his group’s name right. It’s Organized KONFUSION! Pharoahe Monch is the last of a dying breed. Not a rapper but an MC…not just a writer but a wordsmith. He’s a lyricist who understands the ability to make a hot song but educate the masses at the same time. Internal Affairs is one of my favorite hip-hop albums because Pharoahe proves the old-school formula for hip-hop still works: take an innovative MC, put him in a room with nothing but equipment to make beats, a mic and a notebook and he’ll make quality music every single time.

I NEED these tickets!! I have been a huge Pharoahe fan for a long time and have been waiting almost 8 YEARS for his new album to come out. In fact, not only is Internal Affairs hot but people can’t buy it anymore because it is out of print. I listened to Organized Konfusion back in the day but was a little shocked when Pharoahe went solo. It was him who opened my eyes to Rawkus, mainly Mos Def and Talib Kweli who are now 2 of my favorite emcees. If it wasn’t for Pharoahe, I would have never known about 2 of the guys that are trying to preserve what’s left of hip-hop. Hook me up PLEASE! I heard he’s playing with a live band, too?!?!? I have to see if a live band can rock the Godzilla sample from “Simon Says”!
