Smirnoff Presents 9th Wonder, Pete Rock & DJ Premier

This was a dream event for old school New York Hip Hop fans. Three producers, considered to be among the greatest, 9th Wonder, Pete Rock & DJ Premier came through to DJ and do interviews with RealTalkNY. Other guest included Ed Lover, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip, Pharoahe Monch, Young Guru and Buckshot. Check below for a clip of 9th Wonder’s interview where he explains why Lil Wanye in the best MC in the game right now and comments on harsh words for R.Kelly. Check next for interviews with 9th Wonder(full), Pete Rock, DJ Premier and Young Guru.

9th Wonder Speaks

9th Wonder was mad cool, cracking jokes and just being laid back. THe whole night rap songs from at least a decade ago were blasting. You heard a roar everytime a classic track people haven’t heard for a while came on. A lot of Wu-Tang, music the producers have made and even some west coast hits. Buckshot even performed. It was a cool night overall, free liqs, food and a good vibe. I was chilling with RealTalkY’s new reporter Joy Daily, expect to see more of her soon.

Pete Rock has a little attitude to him, remind me of Bobby Brown in this picture. I didn’t get a chance to talk to Q-Tip/

Didn’t talk to these guys, Q-Tip look like he is enjoying himself.

LOL, I dont know why it looks like he grilling me like that, what’s beef?

MC Serch came near the end, is he throwing up a gang sign?

Lil’ wayne is not the best in the game right now. Lyrically, besides Jay-Z, it has to be kanye west or eminem. Those are just two I can think of. Everything wayne say don’t always make sense if you really listen. A lot of time i be like what the hell is he saying or trying to say.
