Not knowing everthing that is going on at DEF jam with LL and the label but hasnt LL cool J been mad since Russell left and didnt give him money for supposently making Def jam what they are? I think he’s still hurt about and wants to President. Just my opinion.

I know LL put in alot of work at Def Jam. But he need to call it quits. He feels Jay and LA didn’t put enough money into his last project. That shit was wack as hell. They probably put it out, out respect. LL hang it up your done.

I’m lovin’ what LL had to say. That’s Real Talk there. Def Jam used to be known for having solid marketing. Not anymore. You’ve got cats sitting back making 6 figure salaries and the only thing that sells is that pop garbage. Hell, Jay’s album was a commerical failure compared to what he used to sell. The marketing dept. at Def Jam didn’t even stand up for its own CEO. LL has longevity on his side. LL has more hits over a longer span of time than any rapper and y’all don’t think he deserves a place at the table? LL carried Def Jam on his back for years. Without LL, there would be no Def Jam today. Everybody in that company needs to get up off their asses to promote him.

I find it funny how a 2 years ago, Def Jam was one of the wackest labels on the face of the earth according to most of yall on this site, now you seem to be biggin’ up the shit just because of jay runnin’ it now. Todd Smith wasn’t a bad cd if you didn’t check it so be it. “We gonna make it” ft. Mary Mary could’ve been a single, #1 fan could’ ve been a single as well as ” I’ve changed”, Of course I was checkin’ to see if Whatchu want was gonna blaze but no it didn’t. The cd wasn’t like anything on the market. No profanity, Drug talk or Misogny, Something all of yall act like yall have a problem with from time to time. So my question to you is this, Is LL supposed to sell out and give you a Bullshit hardcore cd just to please whipper snappers who wasn’t alive until Mama said or give you something from the heart. Its not a double edge sword to me.
