Seriously try to challenge Fifty. Come with clever questions not just about some basic career moves. Come at him from a Hip Hop perspective. Ask him about the culture, the evolution, role of violence… And don’t let him get away with “My lyrics are a reflection of what I’ve been through”.He very rarely is real about the problems caused by a violent neighborhood, drugs and shit like that.
Even though I don’t expect him to become a conscious rapper any time soon, stress the fact the even mainstream audience would appreciate a few tracks that’ll make us sit back and think.
