CBSNews.com Turns Off Comments on Obama Stories Due To Racism
Today CBSNews.com informed its staff via email that they should no longer enable comments on stories about presidential candidate Barack Obama. The reason for the new policy, according to the email, is that stories about Obama have been attracting too many racist comments.
CBSNews.com does sometimes delete comments on an individual basis, but Sims said that was not sufficient in the case of Obama stories due to “the volume and the persistence” of the objectionable comments.
“If you’re an African American and you read about someone being called a porch monkey, that overrides any positive thing that you would read in the comments,” he said.
Ain’t this some bs, people got nothing better to do with their lives?

I SWEAR ITS LIKE EVERY SINGLE WHITE PERSON EXHIBITS THEIR RACIST TENDANCIES WHEN SITTING BEHIND A PC ANONOMOUSLY. IVE SEEN PEOPLE SAY SHIT LIKE ‘ALL NIGGERS DESERVED TO BE RAPED AND BURNED”. I MEAN SHIT IS DISGUSTING, ITS EVEN MORE SAD THAT THESE FAGGOTS THAT TYPE THIS SHIT WOULD GET KILLED SAYING THIS SHIT ANYWHERE ELSE SO THEY HIDE BEHIND A PC. We’ve made some strides when it comes to race relations in this country i suppose… or maybe its just an illusion of progress… but either way.. we still have a long.. LONG way to go

CBS New should invest in anti-spamming software. That’s what I got on my blog. Or make sure that people sign up before they comments. These racist people don’t have the patience to fill out a form to make a dumb ass comment. Don’t let the bigots win! Fight back!

In order to post a message on CBSnews.com you have to register with the site, but that doesn’t matter- people are still going to say racist stuff. I doubt anti-spaming stuff will censor out everything. And I doubt CBSNews will even want to censor anything because that’s not really trusting the visitors of the site. They want people to come to the site- not get turned off by it’s censorship and rules.
