yo snoop is saying some real shit. and REALTALKNY the south couldn’t hate on the west and east becuz the music that was coming from here was actually hot and was worthy to be at the top of the charts. so snoop really isn’t hating he is just telling the truth. almost every song from the south sound the same and sound trash. but the DJ’s are constantly playing it and putting the illusion of it being hot.

know the sytem of the music industry. they dont play good azz music down south either like they used to. for example, outcast, ugk, scarface, goodie mob, etc. the music industry is about who can i used to get more money and who is willing to sell thir soul for a quick buck. lets be real hip-hop is alive all over the world, not because of rappers its becaues of all the elements that still lives underground. rap is too saturated with BS whether from downsouth, east, west or midwest. why is it the most new artist comes from the south? no new artist comes from the east or west its the same ol rappers and MC. we need to build our own industry period, stop relying on white folks that could careless about ur azz.

1st. Besides Kday 93.5fm during julio g or yo-yo’s california love segments that is the only time you will hear a west coast song on the radio which is sad……..L.A hip-hop radio stations are basically top40 now, so thats why you hear nothing but down south cats on the radio….
2nd. People don’t understand the initial reason for the south blowing up the way it did, was because of it’s original support of local artists…which is how you get a (Plies, Young Jezzy, T.I., Cash Money, Mike Jones, DG Yola…etc….)and Snoop hit it right on the head when he said what he said!!!!
In closing…..The West Coast and East Coast are major markets so in order to get in rotation on radio stations where there are over 3 million plus listeners everyday and only 2 significant Hip-Hop stations in both cities it
s gonna take the radio to put the west& east coast back on the map!!!

The thing is that… Hip-hop has really degenerated nowadays and a lot of people listening to it are materialistic idiots that care nothing but ’bout the looks and ’bout the cash.
This leads to people wanting garbage like ‘Snap Music’ or whatever stuff like DFB, Soulja Boy, (etc) do. The same rythm, the same flow - and worst of all the SAME DELIVERY (hoes, booty shaking, cars, bling, etc).
It destroys the image of hip-hop and this is why NaS says “Hip-Hop is dead”, this is why music with non-bubblegum delivery doesn’t get play, this is why almost every other genre looks at the stereotyped hip-hop and says “RAP IS CRAP”.
It’s not about what side you’re from. There’s FIRE rappers from the south like Z-Ro, Cunnin’ Linguists, Ludacris, Buck, Geto Boys and so on… It’s about what type of hip-hop these artists produce. The south was just unlucky to be the side with the most garbage music going out on the commercial level… But then again, shit like MIMS’ “This is why I’m hot” or most of 50 Cents’ releases are equally garbage to shit like Souljaboy or Crime Mob…
