  2. T Baby Says:

    nice song. sweet video.

too bad krs-one wont get any play/love.

they were handing out fliers downtown to his concert around here in baltimore.

  3. wtf_is_this Says:

why is this old ass nigga still rapping. he should go somewhere and make some children. it is a shame how some people can’t leave hip-hop alone and move on in their lives.

  4. blaze Says:

listening to this song in an era like this is like finding fresh water in a desert. damn was i thirsty

  5. Side Fx Says:

Underground is the backbone of Hip Hop
Support it if you want Hip Hop to live

  6. T Baby Says:

    @ 3.

i laughed at the make some kids shit initially.

but to tell the truth, id rather hear old ass krsone over half of todays rappers that gay rotation on the radio. seriously.

  7. T Baby Says:

wow. i meant “gay rappers that GET rotation on the radio”.

  8. Cruz Says:

this is good shit real rap musik. dont hate niggs.

  9. JRP Says:

there you go. good ol’ hip hop….

  10. Jince Says:

wtf_is_this – you dumb ass ignorant narrow-minded child…you think hip hop is a young mans game? get your shit straight…this right here is hip hop at its finest, if you cant respect that then you need to re-examine yourself…there would be no young jeezys or ghostfaces if it werent for krs, mc shan, and may other old school emcees that paved the path….respect your elders

damn, now that I have that out of my system

thank you realtalkny for putting this gem up…im really feeling the beat…in the days of synthesizers and crazy fucking keyboards, its good to hear a simple, hard bass tone thats not drowned out

i really liked how krs went through the different stages of hip hop with the transformations and such…i could see this joint becoming a huge party joint for old school-loving heads.

although I am a late eighties baby, I still appreciate this music video in its entirety

  11. frank Says:

amazing song, amazing video..this is what rap is all about..

  12. ~Avoh Says:

    c/s T Baby..

sad man..Ive been listening to so much garbage these last couple months that I broke out my old Black Moon album and almost passed out, lol…

This shii is ill….but we prolly wont see it on BET

  13. D-train Says:

Thank you jince, young boys know no better!
Now yesssssssss KRSone top 5 best MC. not a rapper, you yb can keep the wack ass rappers. Real HIPHOP needs MC’s and real block beats! Thank you RealtalkNY.

  14. Statz Says:

    I think KRS is great.

But these guys need to accept that hip hop takes on different forms and evolves and changes with time. If it stayed the same as did in the 70s and 80s it wouldn’t be nearly as big as it is today.

As much as you people criticize the Nelly’s of the game, without them hip hop would not be commercially viable as it is now and chances are sites like REAL Talk NY may not exist or may not be that popular.

  15. ~Avoh Says:

^^evolving is cool but if you suck, you suck

  16. T Baby Says:

id rather rap be underground and rocking, than mainstream and bullshit.

  17. D1 Says:

    To T_Baby:

There is still underground rap AND mainstream rap. If you dont like mainstream, then listen to the underground stuff. I don’t see what the problem is?

  18. T Baby Says:

    the problem is.
the ENTIRE CULTURE OF RAP is being attacked because of the bullshit mainstream hip hop.
    thats the problem.
mainstream hip hop is like a fuckin minstrel show. just niggas puttin on a show to get money. they might as well throw on the black face and tap dance in the videos.

most of the music i listen to is underground, or old school.

  19. cocos Says:

what the fuck is Proof in the wall ? this nigga is not a legend……..like Big l 2pac and all shit

  20. gro Says:

that shit was dope. turn off the radio. all this r&b(rappin bullshit)if this doesn’t sell, fine. its not supposed to. unlike all these newer rappers(who are supposed to sell and don’t)KRS will be here.

  21. Don Imus Says:

Hahahahah maaaaaaaaaan u sum crazy niggas. first of all t-baby u right wit that. I’ve always been thinkin like that. jeezy is a fuckin minstrel nigga dancin for whitey. u see we are niggaz/brothers jeezy is nigger/slave
    REAL TALK

and 2 cocos they were just showin people in hip hop that died under sensless violence(but why did they show eazy)

  22. MAK A.K.A. FUCK B.E.T. Says:

THATS REAL MUZIK IN THE TRUEST FORM OF HIP HOP. JUST TO THINK NELLY OPENED HIS MOUTH TO THIS MAN. SMH

  23. Trayday Says:

OMIGOD!! Finally. KRS got that fire! I am definitley gonna cop this one. He is telling us what true hip hop is. He wasn’t hating on the youngsters. He just reminding them that they need to find there way. Stop mimicking each other. We need all kinds of hip hop. The consciousness, the gangsters, the bootyshaking, the revolutionary, the crunk, the funk. There is room for it all.

  24. we stone Says:

    k r s o n e

  25. UUU Says:

Seems the majority of you like the video. SO how many of you are are going to buy KRS’s new album?

  26. T Baby Says:

    @ 25.

i cant say that i will be buying it.

he is having a concert here soon, some little shit.
i mite check it out and depending on if i like it, ima cop his new album. THE REAL THING, no bootleg lol.

  27. mally Says:

    this song goes hard

  28. fern Says:

real hip hop that not bullshit that out now.. krs1 b.d.p. 4 ever..

  29. LordKaseem Says:

Damn..this is actually hot…see this is what I’m talking about…now before all you, he’s damn near 50 people start talking…I”m thinking we need some older rappers out again…most were put on the shelf because people didn’t know how to market them. Maybe even show some of you dudes who think you can rap…Imagine how a person like Kool g.Rap feel about Lil Waynes word play. You only think Lil Wayne can rap because you don’t heard KRS One or RAkim or Canibus on a regular. Hell Lil Wayne almost had me there for a second…Lmao, with all that best rapper alive shit….lol.

  30. It's not about HipHop anymore. Says:

KRSone been doin this “real” hiphop shit since the 80’s.
    Thas his slogan.
It’s always good to hear new KRS but this is not and never was a savior to keep hiphop relevant.
It’s about bein a real individual to me.

MOST OF THE REAL ONES ARE DEAD. NOT HIP HOP.
RAP FANS COMPLAIN TOO MUCH. CUZ YOU LISTEN TO THAT GRIMY SHIT AND THINK YOU THEM ALL A SUDDEN. THEN YOU TURN AROUND AND SHIT ON PEOPLE LIKE 50 CENT AND DIPSET WHO GAVE YOU A STYLE TO RUN WIT. I WONDER WHY.. CUZ YOUR LIFE IS MISERABLE AND THEY GOT RICH? HMM. YOU FELT UM WHEN THEY WAS DIRTBAGS. WUH HAPPENED..

    PFF! HATE IS FOR LAMES.

    HIP HOP IS LIFE.

  31. ali bi Says:

    this shit is hot :P
