what accoured.however this is a pattern from george w bush
wife comments on the people in katrina. there are many more insatnces where the media allows this. and the citizens allows these racist things to continue.
u go on the air and talk about the jews. then look and see
what will happen. it is time american black people speak up
and demand changes. how mutch more apologies will be

I does not matter what he said the issue is not about him or the girls (which are very awesome players) This is about freedom of speech.If you dont like it dont listen.The truth is next they will be telling you exactly what you can and can not say. Including music and personal opinions.If immus feels that way and you dont his ratings will ultimately show that.

Not to mention. If the producer, of all people, is participating and actually instigating the commentary then what can you do?. I do applaud NBC for at lease suspending Imus for two weeks. It’s about a week too late but hey. I would have liked for the entire show to be taken off but of course no multinational corporation will ever cut a hole in their own pocket.

Look here’s the deal:
What Imus said was totally inappropriate. Whether it was true, whether he has a right to say it or not. As a radio personality talking on a national show regulated by the FCC, Imus CAN NOT and SHOULD NOT say things derogatory and discriminative about other people. This is not the first incident where Imus has put his foot too far up his ass. This is just the first time that there was such a huge backlash. But this is what keeps his ratings up and will ironically actually help him keep his job.

As far as the comments made by 5,9,12, etc. saying that if it was a black person talking about a white person they would get away with it, is totally ridiculous. Since when have black people EVER been on the beneficial side of a double standard?? Black people can say what they want on the streets. But when you are paid by a corporate entity like NBC and shoot your mouth off, whether you’re white or black, you’re going to be held accountable for your actions (hopefully). No matter what your personal opinion is on a person’s physical characteristics you should and must display professionalism, and integrity. Imus showed neither.

As a black female, I found it increasingly offensive. I would find it offensive if it came out of a Black, Red, or White man’s mouth. What I have a problem with is that some people are getting upset about calling Black women ‘hoes’ when many do it everyday. Its a sad world when a man can’t say ‘woman’ but can say ‘bitch’ or ‘ho’. Women today are valued only as objects and derogatory terms. Its not ’she’s a good looking woman’, its ’she’s a goodlooking bitch.’ That’s a problem…

honestly…what’s done is done…not acceptable at all…something in his subconscious made him want to say that so there is some deep rooted racism no matter how minimal it is…but that’s neither here nor there…my issue is the aftermath and these people thinking they can run to Rev.
