Virginia Tech Students Going To College Or War?(At Least 31 Killed)

One person was killed and several were wounded in two shootings on the Virginia Tech university campus in Blacksburg on Monday, The Associated Press and the university reported.

A hospital spokeswoman told AP that 17 Virginia Tech students were being treated for gunshot wounds and other injuries.

The AP reported that one person was killed and one wounded in a shooting at a dormitory. Another shooting at Norris Hall, an engineering building, resulted in multiple casualties, the university reported.

The shootings came three days after a bomb threat Friday forced the cancellation of classes in three buildings, WDBJ in Roanoke reported. Also, the 100,000-square-foot Torgersen Hall was evacuated April 2 after police received a written bomb threat, The Roanoke Times reported.

Damn  can’t even get a education with out worrying about somebody with the Cal on them. I bet it’s somebody that doesn’t even go to the school. If it is a college student, what could you possibly be thinking. The Gun man is now reported as dead. My condolences to the family.

I’m hearing the shooter was Asian man in his 20’s who was arguing with his girlfriend.

I GO TO SCHOOL AT TEMPLE U, IN NORTH PHILLY, WHICH IS A BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. THE UNIVERSITY IS ADJACENT TO 3 PROJECTS. THE KIDS IN THE PJS ARE ROUGH BUT THERE IS A STRONG CAMPUS POLICING. I HOPE THIS NEVER HAPPENS AT MY SCHOOL. IT’S TERRIBLE WHEN PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BETTER THEIR LIVES AND ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME.
GOD BLESS ALL THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

ok first shooting was around 7am with one killed, and several injured

the second shooting was TWO HOURS LATER, with 30 killed and dozens more injured.

from what we know these are from the same shooter.

WHY DIDN’T THE POLICE DETAIN THE SUSPECT AFTER THE FIRST SHOOTING? they had TWO hours. 30 lives and the dozens that were injured had to pay because of the lack of action

I go to college in West Philly, which is out of control these days. What happened at VTech is so damn unfortunate. 33 people killed, 15 wounded…I sent all of my condolences out to the family and friends of the victims. You would think on a college campus, you would be safe. I aspect colleges to do a complete 180 on their security practices after this…

damnnn. 33 killed??? I’m speechless, in a college? smh. My condolences to the family and friends of the lost ones. This is some fucked up shit. I mean all the mafia massacres, including the saint valantines massacre aint even compare to this. The last time I heard of 33 people being shot at the same time in one day, was in the war in Iraq were you can expect casualties like this.

the university thought that the first shooting was a domestic dispute since it was in the dorm and only two were killed.
they also thought the shooter fled afterwards.

they sent out campuswide emails but who knows why they didnt cancel classes.

2 hours later, across campus, 31 are killed in a class.

thats fuckin crazy.

My condolences goes out to all the victims and their families and friends who were affected by this terrible tradegy.

I actually believe the University acted within the best interest of the ENTIRE Campus. There is no telling that had the school canceled classes this crazy fool wouldnt have just gone into another dorm, administration office, or whatever and done his carnage there. Remember the guy who did this was a student there and had access to the buildings. He also for some reason did not fit the description of what the police were looking for in the first shootings. So with all things considered and with the evidence they had. I believe they acted correctly.
The only issue I have was that they didnt inform the students about the first shooting until 2 hours after the fact. But I doubt that would have had any effect on the outcome. This guy was determined he was gonna bring down as many people as he could regardless

this shit is horrible. i have so many friends at Tech being that i go to virginia commonwealth and everyone was panicking trying to make sure our people were good. every victim had at least 3 bullets…wreckless. this is the 2nd time Tech had to be shut down for shootings.
