i dont ever remember any artist asking def jam to let him out of his contract, and then def jam re-signing that artist. it seems like a bad business move, especially because beans last album sold like 350,000 and it was on def jam. beans just need to do his own thing, maybe hook up wit dame dash on the DDMG(is that it?) music label. i think that the truth went platinum, but thats it, and that was like almost 8 years ago. but his last album was a classic. “bread and butter” and “look at me now” are 2 songs alone that make the album worth buying
