Footage From The Roots & Lupe Fiasco Concert
Every time, “The Roots,” come to town it is a must see show for Hip Hop fans. There last show at Radio City Music Hall was crazy. This time around they performed at a more personal venue and without an abundance of guest. The only guest this night would be none other than Lupe Fiasco. Check out pictures and some video of another great Roots Concert. I didn’t post much video because I don’t want to spoil the show for people who will be seeing it, and some things you can only get if you see them live.
This was my first time seeing Lupe Fiasco perform and I left very impressed by the young MC’s tenacity. Lupe seem to go into a trance while performing, with eyes closed and his body flowing with the music. He manage to stay energetic his whole performance with little break. The crowd fed off of his emotional performance and sporadic dance moves. After seeing this performance, I will be purchasing Lupe’s debut album.
After Lupe’s performance The Roots made there way to the stage. While I don’t want to give out details on their set, I will say this is more than a Hip Hop concert. The Roots act as the missing link between, rap, jazz and rock. The Roots showcase their versatility, playing some old school and new Hip Hop, while also providing some Jazz and Rock & Roll classics. The Roots, as usual, don’t dissapoint and provide another great concert.

yo, i caught the roots and lupe at the tabernacle in ATL. that was my 5th roots concert and first lupe show. whatta mothaphuckin experience. the roots always kill it, especially for 2 1/2 hours. cassidy came out and spit a few verses. lupe’s performance was flawless and the show was real heartfelt since his father was laid to rest only a few days prior to the show. i’ve been to over 80 hiphop concerts and this was definitely in the top 15. would i do it again? oh, hell-to-the-yizzeah.
