Video of Christina Aguilera’s Grammy Performance,Pictures of Her in Maxim

Christina Aguilera KILLED her grammy performance, props to her. I always thought she was very talented, she just went through the phase of trying to be like Britney Spears. Seen her once, its suprising how big a voice can come from such a small body. Check out this month’s Maxim for these pictures and may more. You can subscribe to Maxim Here

what some people may not understand is that its not easy pulling off a james brown song, his vocals are high screaming thats in tune which is sheer brillance. Christina DID the damn thing wit this, she or patti is like the only one i can think of that has the power vocally to hold those high notes in tune. THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT, i was so shocked wit her, especially wit that whistle note, cause thats vintage james brown right there.

  7. aisha Says:

  8. Aloha Bitches! Says:

  9. Anon Says:

That was great but she didn’t hold those high notes well and what whisper note did she hit cause I didn’t hear it, but she did her thing.

yall know ms aguilera IS a problem in this industry… in a good way… i dont get why this girl STILL aint sellin’ units like Beyonce numbers… she’s proved time & time again that vocally she is better than Ms. Knowles…. not hatin on beyonce, bc i love beyonce, but the thing about Bey that bothers me is that she doesnt evolve or change… her image hasn’t changed between albums and her music/voice hasn’t been challenged or grown… at least Ms. Aguilera has three albums and EACH album is not only amazing from start to finish, each album sounds COMPLETELY different from the one before it… versatility AND being able to blow is what puts aguilera miles ahead of these otha R&B OR pop chicks out right now…

on Stripped aguilera showed us she can do pop, R&B, hip-hop, club bangers, jazz/blues, soul, even a little rock… the Mi Reflejo album before that…she did ALL spanish songs (she’s half Ecuadorian) …and her debut was a pop album, but it did have an R&B twist and her vocals were on point and sweet…and with her latest album, Back to Basics…she once again switches it up and brings an almost completely R&B/hip-hop/soul album… with a little fun skits and pop songs thrown in for good measure…

on top of it all, she’s paying tribute and name dropping artists on her album (givin them props) that HALF these otha R&B/pop chicks have never even heard before… i doubt britney would know who etta james or coltrane was…

so my question is… WHY is Christina Aguilera not blowing up and selling 3 or 4 times platinum with this album… i mean SURE it’s gone platinum in the US and multiplatinum around world…but her last album STRIPPED is 4x platinum right now…

and somehow Beyonce’s rushed B’Day album that she ADMITS she did rushed in 2 weeks… is like over 2x platinum… when it’s just a bunch of club tracks that she lies about writing… lol….

i dont get the music biz or the buying public…bc if it were about talented vocals, performances, and songwriting… Ms Aguilera would have been sweepin the Grammys a few years in a row AND would be sellin Michael Jackson numbers…

but people like simple, disposable pop music, like “Irreplaceable”… oh and PS: NeYo…good job writing that song, even tho Bey liked to claim she wrote it…

dont get me wrong, i LOVED beyonces first album… she had a good slow-jam/soulful vibe goin on…but this album, while catchy… is nothing classic or amazing… it’s just rushed filler to make a few bucks…

    and it worked…

at least Aguilera takes 3 or 4 years between albums to really write and go in studio with NOT huge-name producers to really work and help produce a great well-rounded album for her fans and other listeners…

so how about EVERYONE who enjoyed Xtina’s performance at the Grammys (Which again showed her versatility as a singer and performer) if u dont already own Back to Basics (her latest double album) go cop it today!!!! Best Buy and Target have it for like 13 to 15$ and its 22 songs long…so it’s worth it…

let’s get Aguilera’s album back in the top 20 like beyonce’s was when Irrelaceable attacked our radiostations

  11. yeah Says:

christina is tha shit!! All respect to her!

  12. Reality Check Says:

I don’t want to beat a dead horse but since her ethnicity has been raised on this forum, Christina’s father was born in Ecuador but was of Cuban heritage. Her mother was Canadian of German, English, Irish and Dutch extract.

Also, “Mark” your setiment is appreciated but one thing is for sure. Talent, pure and true, always wins the longevity race. Christina will be remembered while Beyonce (and others) will become mere footnotes of the music/ entertainment industry.
