Did VH1’s White Rapper Show Rob John Brown?
For those that didn’t see the show, Shamrock won over the infamous John Brown. I already knew the results beforehand, because when I tried to contact Shamrock I was told to speak to VH1. After seeing the show I think John Brown got robbed. Hit 16 verse was better than Shamrocks and so was his song. Shamrock had a club song basically than wasn’t saying much. One of the judges even said lyrics don’t matter. If you thought the show was a joke before, the finale just confirmed it.

John Brown lost cause of his karma. Plain & simple. He was fake, and never passed up a chance to show it. He was two-faced throwing people under the bus all season long. His ego was way out of control, and look at the way he treated his friend that came to visit on the last day!
John Brown may be a fantastic lyricist, and he may have a bright future in the industry, but he needs to learn some humility, and how to be a genuine person. Losing this competition may turn out for the best, because maybe he will get some perspective… but I doubt it.
The point the judge was trying to make with ‘lyrics don’t matter’ was a bit misleading. What he was trying to get at, is that lyrics aren’t everything to being a star. It takes the whole package. Which if you evaluate Brown and Shamrock on all the different aspects… Shamrock was better all around.

I didn’t get to see the last episode so I guess I’ll have to catch the rerun, but I am glad shamrock won, I knew he was going to win, the boy has talent (though he needs to work on his freestyle and lyrical content) but all around the kid has a marketable package to offer to these young cats on 106 & park types.

Get the “HELL” outta here! OK…Judges say “Shamrock isn’t original. Shamrock isn’t lyrical. John Brown was too lyrical. He was too deep.” Shamrock’s grill falls out. You couldn’t understand 80% of his rhymes. But…he wins? He wins? Give me a break. Serch…I know that wasn’t your honest answer. I mean, you EXECUTIVE PRODUCED “ILLMATIC!!!!!!” How in the hell do you go from NAS to SHAMROCK? I am NOT watching season 2. And yes…it IS a game!!!!!

Being from Harlem where everybody is a rapper. I know 12yr olds who would rip both of them. But everybody on my block watched the show it was entertaining and it also showed you what serious artists don’t do. GO ON REALITY SHOWS. You want a record deal you go to the studio to parties to A&R’s. What you don’t do if you wanna be taken serious in this game is go on VH1 and get fuckin criticized by MC Search. And I still can’t get over John Browns boyfriend. At first I thought MC Search brought on Moby. ok im not gonna lie… earlier in the season when there was a few good MC’s left who actually seemed real…cough cough… persia and sully… i couldn’t stand john brown… he jus seemed like a corn ball, madd phony and that ghetto rivival, king of the burbs shit? if ur the king of the burbs then what do u kno bout ghetto revival homie?

I give that dude madd props… this whole time he was lookin like a joke talkin bout Ghetto revival and were all like WTF? Turns out he was jus tryin to promote his business… which im sure was POPPINNN after the show.
