Kweli is just shining light on the fact that “niggas lie a lot”. Of course Kweli is angry at these fake-ass dudes who come up from one catchy beat with a catchy chorus, and simple lyrics about how they hot. Because the artist’s on radio are fake. Kweli is an MC and he’s not afraid to tell the world that they are being cheated by these wack-ass rappers.

As I’m learning to become a B-boy, I’m learnin the true culture of Hip-Hop. Talib Kweli represents true hip-hop, and most definitely represents the ORIGINAL four elements of hip-hop – DJing, B-boying (breakin to the mainstream, the written word (graffiti), and the spoken word (EMCEE-ing). (Do some research on it if you don’t believe me. There’s even books mann.)

I used to think radio and what I saw on BET and MTV was some real shit, but the more I learned about the TRUE culture of hip-hop, when I went to my first cypher in the underground b-boy community, I learned what I hear and see on the radio and TV is all corporate.

It wasn’t until I started listening to emcees like Talib Kweli, K-Os, KRS-One, and Common that what I heard before is FAKE.

Talib Kweli is in the right state of mind.
