  2. icedouut Says:

    Nas is the best period!
    juss listen to his album…damn

  3. XLPE Says:

NAS IS OKAY, BUT HE’S NOT THE BEST. REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SAY, BEING THE BEST INVOLVES HAVING THE GIFT OF GAB IN ALL ASPECTS. INCLUDING, INTERVIEWS, FREESTYLES,INTROSPECTIVE RAPS, DARK RAPS, RADIO FRIENDLY RAPS, CLUB BANGER RAPS, AND BUSINESS RAP AKA PROPOGANDA. ALL NAS HAS IS GOOD ALBUM RAPS, SOME OF WHICH ARE AMBIGUOUS TO THE WAY HE’S LIVING NOW. HE SOMETIMES RAPS INSTEAD OF RE INACTING. SO SOME RAPS ARE LIES OR STORIES. WE HEAR TOO MANY RAP LIARS, I EXPECT MORE OUT OF NAS. NAS HAS A TERRIBLE INTERVIEW, HE IS NOT THAT ARTICULATE. THE WAY HE RAPS YOU WOULD THINK THAT HE COULD COLLECT HIS WORDS BETTER. BUSINESS WISE HE MAKES THE WRONG DECISIONS. HE SHOULD BE WHERE JAY Z IS NOW. HE ADMITTED TO NOT BEING ABLE TO FREESTYLE. HE HASN’T HAD A CLUB OR RADIO BANGER IN QUITE SOMETIME. NAS SAID HIP HOP IS DEAD BECAUSE ALL ASPECTS ARE NOT BEING REPRESENTED. WHICH MEANS THAT ONLY SOUTHERN STYLE IS BEING REPRESENTED, INSTEAD OF NE STYLE, MID WEST AND WEST COAST. ALL OF THESE SECTIONS REPRESENT HIP HOP BECAUSE IT’S WHERE OUR CULTURE IS. EACH SECTION OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH BLACK PEOPLE LIVE HAS A DIFFERENT FLAVOR OF HIP HOP. IT’S ALL HIP HOP BECAUSE THEY LIVE IT. WELL SOME LIVE IT AND SOME LIE. YOU AND NAS CAN NOT SAY HIP HOP IS DEAD BECAUSE IT’S STILL BEING REPRESENTED. YOU MEAN THAT THE NE SECTION OF THE COUNTRY NEEDS TO STEP THEIR GAME UP. IT’S A BLAME GAME WITH NAS BECAUSE HE WANTS TO SAY HIP HOP IS DEAD BECAUSE HIS STYLE OF HIP HOP IS NOT DOING WELL. WHAT HE NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT EVERYTHING EVOLVES. SOME THINGS CHANGE FOR THE BETTER AND SOME FOR THE WORSE. IT’S ALWAYS THE OLD HEAD THAT SAYS, “I REMEMBER WHEN.” I AM A DJ AND I COULD SAY THAT REAL DJS USE RECORDS INSTEAD OF SERATTO. I COULD SAY THAT BECAUSE I AM NOT READY TO EVOLVE WITH MUSIC. BUT I DIDN’T, I GOT SERATTO AND STILL OWN ALL OF MY WAX. BY SAYING THIS, I AM INFERRING THAT NAS SHOULD NOT CRITIZE THE NEW AGE, HE NEEDS TO DO AS A DJ DOES. I GIVE THE CROWD WHAT THEY WANT AND I GIVE THEM SOME OF ME. WHICH MEANS I INTRODUCE THEM TO NEW SHIT. WHEN I SAY I GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT, I MEAN I GIVE THEY WHAT THEY WANT IN MY STYLE WHICH IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER DJ. SO INSTEAD OF HATTING ON THESE SOUTHERN RAPPER NAS SHOULD SHOW HIS VERSATILITY AND GET ON SOME OF THE TRACKS WITH THESE ARTIST. IF HE LYRICALLY CRUSHES THE ARTIST, OH WELL. AT LEAST THE YOUNGINNS WILL HEAR HIM. THE YOUNGINS DON’T LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE’S NOT RELEVANT TO THEM. ESPECIALLY WEARING THAT 80′S DOOKIE ROPE CHAIN. ARE THEY TRYING TO BRING THAT BACK? BUSTA, NAS, GAME, HOV WITH A SMALL ONE. THAT STUFF IS TOO OLD SCHOOL, THEY LOOK LIKE SLICK RICK AND GHOST. THE YOUNGINS THAT DON’T HAVE FATHERS LOOK AT THE RAPPERS AS ROLE MODELS. THEY WANNA KNOW HOW TO GET THAT MONEY LIKE THE RAPPER. THEY DON’T WANNA BE TAUGHT BY NASIR JONES. HE IS TOO WORDY. CADENCE AND DELIVERY STYLES HAVE CHANGED. NAS STILL RAPS THE SAME. HE SHOULD SWITCH UP HIS FLOW AND LEARN HOW TO FREESTYLE OR FAKE IT AND COME TO THE RADIO STATION WITH NEW SONGS MEMORIZED AND ACT LIKE THEY ARE FREESTYLES.

    Damn XLPE,

you sure got alot on your mind, huh?

I saw the performance, seemed liked Letterman and Paul enjoyed it, the audience ate it up to (no homo).
    props on the converage, NY.

  5. iknowyougotsoul Says:

That Nas joint is hot. I’m glad he’s getting the recognition.

  6. noodles Says:

xlpe–YOUR criticism of nas is played out. Read any hip hop site from November thru January.

the letterman performance was really good, even tho chrisette was a little off key at sum pts. Performing on letterman shows nas does sum mature rap that’s going to appeal to sum rich white ppl who are not just going to listen to rap to see what their kids are listening to, they might actually feel this.

  7. shaze Says:

Nas is hot but I don’t like his music.

  8. Rastafarai Says:

XLPE-” Hip Hop, Hip Hop” is dead. Hate it or love it batti boy.. Nas a Fucking Legend…Respect.. Who gives a fuck about your opinion.. Keep it moving bro its just an album title..By the way blazing performance.Waiting on the next LP Nas keep it comming…

  9. AEROSTATLE Says:

ALL Y’ALL TALKIN ‘BOUT HIS ALBUM AND I BET YOUR CHEAP ASSES BOOTLEGGED HIS SHYT! YEAH YOUR REALLY SUPPORTING……EEEH!

  10. j.rome Says:

yo im feelin(no homo) what xlpe is sayin. makes sence. them kids don’t care about what nas is sayin. it’s a southern movement right now. of course people like nas is mad, cause these kids they want to dance, and have fun. they don’t want to listen to nas or them other old rappers. im a nas fan, im an eastcoast fan, westcoast fan, downsouth fan. i love hiphop. people like nas should not discredit the south for doin there thing. plus when someone starts talking about “i remember when” that means that they old and hatin’ on the young. thats life.

  11. druggsiswhatuneed Says:

i love hip hop too but i think the point being made here is that lyrically NAS can not be matched, he’s a deep brotha and thats that. it’s not really fair to compare his style to the newer southern rap movement because its just so different. NAS is an older more sophisticated rapper and many of the new southern artists are very young and this is why they appeal to the young kids. so it’s actually not a case of “i remember when”, its more like, “comparing apples to oranges”. NAS doesn’t freestyle well prob because he takes his time to create his lyrics and they come from a much deeper place then, his money, his rides, or chicks….. i mean look who he married Kelise, she is also a very deep artist because before she became entrenched in hip-hop her lyrics were extremely deep and a little on the dark side. i’m sorry but i don’t agree w/XPLE on this subject. i think that NAS’s new album is FIRE!!!! as an artist he always was and always will be FIRE!!!!!
