I Got An Interview With, "The King Of The Burbs," Mr. John Brown Next Week

Anybody got questions they want me to ask the  King Of The Burbs? I know people are going to try to be funny and throw some disses, but lets get some serious questions. I’m working on getting interviews with Saigon & Chamillionaire, so i will see what happens.

  1. WOW Says:

Yeah can you ask him to do us a favor and stop rappin thanks.

  2. mr.lol Says:

Ask him if he is really that serious or dead ass in real life
or was it just for the show?
becuz think about it. he barely showed any emotion during the show. he always had that dead ass face, even when him and persia got into it. he could of at least got angry or started to cry. right.

  3. Mr.X Says:

Ask if his music will appeal to the masses of people living in the burbs.

  4. punk royal Says:

for your first question, ask him “if he minds if you get up and walk out right now”. no matter what his answer is, GET UP AND WALK OUT AND AWAY FROM HIM!
king of the burbs, [smh] cant be serious. i swear… anyone can get attention now a days, lol

  5. Yes'sur Says:

ask him how i thinks about hip-hop right now, what kind of hip-hop music he growed up listen to and witch rappers he looks up to and want to be like!

  6. I Keeps it real Says:

This might sound like a smartelic question, but its not. I seriously think you should ask him this.

The Question is, do you really think you’re talented? You don’t think your King of the burbs moniker is corny? You don’t think that bieng on the white rapper show is corny? When you hear yourself on a song, you don’t think you sound wack? And if you do think you sound hot, do you really think what you’re saying can fuck with anybody who’s really in the rap game trying to come up and make a name for themselves like a papoose or mims or another new cat like that.

  7. Ms.Notorious Says:

1)Ask him why he thinks using the catch phrase “hallelujah holla back” is cool or gangsta.

2)Ask him how he became king of the “burbs”?

3)Ask him why he thinks he’s an “entity”?

Only God can be an entity……he certaintly is not God.

4)Ask him if he thinks he can contribute any positivity to the rap game?

  8. Glock Says:

Why give this fool the light of day, he seems like a joke. Don’t know whay u would want to interview this irrelevant cartoon character. But good luck! Hopefully u ask some funny questions, u should post an audio interview, hell prolly say some funny shit.

  9. Westside Says:

Come on guys, I am not saying he is tight, but is he any wacker than 90% of the other rappers out now? The Young Jocs, Young Jeezys, etc

  10. Glock Says:

    Guess u gotta point westside.

  11. Bash Bizzle Says:

Ask him how does he expect to get any respect in the game when he had a dildo shoved in his face on public TV and he didn’t do anything about it?!?

  12. Rastafarai Says:

Bash Bizzle you got me rolling on that one bro.. You funny nigga man.. Lol.Lol.Lol.Lol….

  13. RealTalk Spitter Says:

    @ westside

Young joc is damn near platinum and had the whole south doin the motorcycle dance and Jeezy is a multiplatinum artist. You can call them wack all you want but this dude aint gonna get anywhere near there success. And Jeezy aint even wack. Young Joc is pretty wack but its goin down was hot and I doubt king of the burbs can make a hit…

  14. geepop Says:

    Ask him, “What’s the point?”

  15. killa J Says:

    fuck these w3hite rappers

  16. RED-T-BOY Says:

nah mayn dont even ask nothin just leave em like that this dude is wack as hell nigga fuck outta here!!! talking about im goin to interview this dude and shit.. whats the point to have an interview with this lame ass white cat? i aint hating but yo this dude is trash blieve that home boy!

  17. Jeezy Says:

Ask him if he plans to go international

and ask about his inspirations and favorite artists

  18. ehh Says:

Ask him how he about the challenges he faces as a white rapper when most hiphop fans won’t give him a chance because he is white and “king of the burbs”

something along those lines.. you could reword it if you want that’d b coo

  19. killa J Says:

    fuck white rappers!

  20. aisha Says:

dude is a clown are you all at real talk serious what the hell is hallellujah holla back! lame ass dude talking about king of the burbs ghetto revival how are you going to revive somewhere u have no clue about the only ones that was from the hood was shamrock and persia and they were the best rappers shamrock should win

  21. Everwrite Says:

SomeQuestions you might want to ask him is

You talk about you plan of Ghetto Rivival. You never explain that plan clearly or coherently. What is “Ghetto Rivival” how does it evole people from the inner city and the suburbs?

Are you just using hip hop and the black culture as an explortation for your other busniess ventures?

Why would anyone should take you seriously as a rapper?

Any record labels or producers contact you?

What are you going to do with your money?

  22. zo Says:

Seriously, when u get past all the cornyness… JB can bust!!! And he’s gonna win 2 becuz he can rhyme better tha, 98 percent of them southern rappers(I’m from The Bay)…. Anyway, I think he’s smart comming up with they corny sayings or what not… It makes u remember him… Hallelujah Hollaback!!!

  23. scrillz Says:

Can u Ask him 2 get me 2 orders of cheesecakes from brooklyn?

  24. NikeHead Says:

Ask him if he battles cause i’ll eat his food, no.

You can’t just self-proclaim a title and stand by it. What’s with people nowadays? Does it give them confidence to call themselves the King of their little environment? I hope someone really does erase these cats from the picture because they’re taking up room for more imporant people on the scene.

  25. WASE Says:

in my own opinion I think John Brown is a terrible rapper his king of the burbs catch phrases are childish and have no concept. the sad thing is he is going to when the show and what hurts me more is being judged by MC Serch I would have though he of all people would have saw right through this kid. John Brown is basically hustling his way through the show, point blank you are called out to battle and you turned it down. that was a great opportunity for him to display his talent and skills but because he saw no motive and hidden agenda where it would have benefited him in the end he chose to bitch out…..

the only thing I would ask him to do is leave.

persia should’ve won, she would have done great at the 8mile battle episode. too bad

  26. Bernie Says:

JB’s catch phrases and ghetto revival are no worse than the gorilla unit. how fukin stupid is that

  27. a-boogey Says:

First off John Brown is going to make it big…he’s got that calm coolness about him that makes him stand out…”king of the burbs” haha classic

Second.. here are a few questions

How he plans to make it big? goals?
    How he started rapping?
    What motivates him?

  28. Elegante Says:

Yo ask him how does he feel about all this hate going on on the internet and what he plans to do about it?

Another good question is: Now that he lost and he certainly is known more in Sactown than shamrock, is he going to wait and let his popularity go down or seize the moment and do…?

  29. C Says:

Ask John Brown if his friend that came on the show was his partner. He was actin like he didnt know him when he got there… a little suspect to me…

  30. Rocky Says:

Where does it go from here? Do you have any offers from the industry, where are you looking at? and where do you plan on taking your career… Ghetto Revival

  31. Yup Yeah Says:

Seriously, is Snoop saying “For shizzle” equally corny? Most of rap is fluff, smoke and mirrors. And if you think they are writing their own songs, you’re wrong. NWA was discovered by a white businessman. Get my point? Most of what you see is manufactured.

John Brown was by the far best for all the reasons that you think he wasn’t: King of the Burbs, Alleluia Holla Back. Think of all the goofy rappers out there with a catch phrase.

And last time I heard, rappers can’t can’t sing and their shitty voices are covered by a lot of production. It amazes me that rap makes money. I need to find a product that I can sell all you followers.

    Alleluia Holla Back!

    Fan of the Burbs

  32. Dman Says:

Brown was robbed he deff should have won

iwonder what vh1 is thinking sham is a lunatic
its really hard to understand what hes sayin and to feel his flow
i think he one cause his lips all fucked up poor kid

    the dude is going nowhere

    john brown baby
    HALLELUJAH HOLLA BACK

  33. itzrileysun Says:

the show was a joke, so whats the point in interviewing him. Your better off interviewing a gay rapper, just saying… NO HOMO.

  34. J Dizzle Says:

I just want to say : I am a John Brwon fan & I’m from the hood “South Central LA” to be exact. He is funny as hell & I’m always waiting to see what he will say next. John Brown is very unique, & it’s working. John Brown is the King of the Burbs & I got a lot of respect for you. Kepp ya head up & keep doing your thing. King of the Burbs till we DIE!

  35. Don Carter Says:

Ask HIM would he work with 50 cent or anybody in g-unit?

  36. The Kid Says:

ask him if he thinks a white suburban kid can be accepted in the hip-hop industry or does he care more about blowin up on pop radio

  37. Bryan Says:

Why does he think Shamrock won? Obviously Sham can’t rap and whether you like John Brown or not it’s a shame that overall skill and quality is overshadowed by crunk abc rap…Sham is wack…Serch should have stuck to what he said about skill instead of letting Clinton Sparks and his old wack producer change his mind off one episode JB is the most consistent…re-cap Sham: I rep my city wit my feet, my filas so pretty forever I love atlanta thats how it goes down if you step on my sneakers I feel like you stepping on my town….WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. SC Says:

John Brown was robbed big time!!!…I think he has the talent to make it big after this reality show…keep ya head up and never stop…JB “Hallalujah Holla Back”

  39. family guy sucks.-- Says:

YOOOOOOOOO 31!!!!! this is for YOU —-TO comment #31

YO 31 !!!! lol is all i gotta say. Try voicing your lopsided, no insight or previous knowledge having opinion somewhere that’s more “up ur alley” no pun intended. This is a hip hop place. rap. understand?. I see through you. You’ve always been wondering why white people (who look like you and seem intelligent to you) like rap. Ur a white dude in his 20’s or 30’s . U definately listen to alot of rock — art rock. alt rock. classic rock. nirvana blah blh blah. Btw That literally pales in comparison to superior hip hop for your info. So this white rapper show gets your attention (as it does all white people) and it makes you think you got a lil bit of license to talk about the things that have been burning in your heart.

Especially since you noticed rappers get hotter white chicks than you, and make up better slang and funner ways to say them. and it really got under your skin when you read/heard things that talked about rap actually being, good well orchestrated music. And then eminem challenged your whole thoughts of the genre. Lol the white rapper show made you happy because it was all white people exploiting (or you thought) rap and its cliches. John Brown particularly with “king of the burbs” because its kind of extra insulting.

All of that is cool ,but here is where you fuck up; dont talk about corny , because you by nature are corny. And I’m sorry but rock music is corny as hell. that shit has a hard time seeing true style in the ease and breeze that rap can. So you cannot ever ever, judge cornyness, thats like a slob telling someone thier shoes arent neat and clean. And you sound even cornier and prove my point with your example of cornyness– “Seriously, is Snoop saying “For shizzle” equally corny?” wtf type of shit…1st of all shizzle boy — E-40 created shizzle and a whole dictionary of fun terms to say such as : “whats upper?” and “ya undadig” just to name a couple and the not to mention long form of your favorite “for shiggadell” (sidenote 1 why do white people LOVE the word shizzle?? -yo for real , and its mostly the corny rock fan white poeple too.) (sidenote 2 –no lie my old roommate whiter than white–had a can of sum fake prop drink that read shizzle in the shasta can font– who do you think went to all that trouble to put that in stores??) So you already come off soundidn wrong . do your homework next time. and also “equally as corny” who cares whats equal to what , corny is corny , you dont get to slide because your less corny than a successful person.

And btw snoop is an OG he knows E-40 personally and he gets mad respect from that whole scene, so you proved to me you really dont know wtf ur talkin about. You shoulda stayed outta this one . I prey on people like you. Because of things like this: you say “Most of rap is fluff, smoke and mirrors.” You better use the words “most of” and while your at it you shoulda thrown in the words “rap i have access to” because all of the stuff i listen to with my peoples is straigh up raw, what you see is what u get , no bs , just raw rap and style shit.

That was a really nice try though. But this is what gives away your outdated cornyness: “NWA was discovered by a white businessman. Get my point? Most of what you see is manufactured” wtf …its 2007 man!!! and fuck nwa, even dr dre will tell you that. If you still till this day think nwa is classic then you suck. didnt you see the movie cb4 ?? i mean this nwa talk from nowhere , i thought you woulda been up on ur stuff. And Yes most of everything is manufactured , ok ? so ur point?? did Jerry Heller ( the “white businesman” you speak of ) “manufacture” nwa ? did he make them in a factory ?? is john brown “manufacturing” himself ?? is serch ?? what r u talking about ?? And for this : “John Brown was by the far best for all the reasons that you think he wasn’t: King of the Burbs, Alleluia Holla Back.” Yo ! for real , they all sucked ! if they didnt they would be really rapping and not trying to be on reality tv and they wouldnt have become famous as “white” rappers for fear of killing any respect they have. Real rappers DO value respect. So your saying he’s “by far” (as if you know what that measure is) the best among sum shitty nobody’s ?? (sidenote 3- I know someone who tried out for the show, a damn good emcee btw and somewhat successful definately not famous though but he gets props on the underground amongst real heads, any way he got curious why they said they couldnt use him and asked what was up with the judging and interviews , he thought it was suspect and they basically told him that they dont want “good” rappers. they want people that are corny in some way- basically they wanted , no, i almost forgot you’re so corny you cant even fake it …sorry your good where you are now, you’re prah-lee tired of gettin clowned and laughed at jus like john brown will soon anyway.

And for this comment of yours : “Think of all the goofy rappers out there with a catch phrase.” are you serious?? I challenge you to name 6!. only 6 since they are “so many”. And they must be corny , not good ones like jeezy’s, jones’ or stack bundles’. And another thing a catch phrase is a catch phrase , whether your a business, a comedian , a rapper , whatever , emcees didnt invent catch phrases they just maximized utilization of them .And some of em are str8 up genius– like Jadakiss’s laugh “aha” could you ever make up something so natural funny but yet different ?? thats why its genius. — Maybe if rock utilized them more it would make it more entertaining. This is your best : “And last time I heard, rappers can’t can’t sing and their shitty voices are covered by a lot of production.” good try thats why its called rapping not singin. And voices being covered by production- and how does that sound ? beats over clouding and hiding someones voice…thats called shitty engineering , and no music in the mainstream at all has shitty engineering especially not mainstream rap.

Record labels spend so much money on engineers and shit its not funny, just so it dont sound anything like that. If you mean the only thing that makes it good is the beat then ask yourself- is production (the beat) not half or more of a hip hop song?? So its just as valid as the vocals right? and whether you like a voice/beat tastewise is a personal preference not a debatable issue. Get your shit together . Btw id rather listen to akon, max b, and/or styles p’s wonderfully entertaining voices (who are wonderful singing/rapping ) than thom yorke sounding like a weasel on crack or bjork looking like one.

But here is where your true colors show:
“It amazes me that rap makes money.” you should have said that in the beginning and left it there. But hey to each his own because it amazes me that you and people like you are still alive today, though you were extinct…it’ll happen soon. BTW Fuck Kurt too.

Shamrock should have and did win for good reasons if you really think about it : –he was authentic he wasnt faking anything , he wasnt corny he wasnt trying to something he’s not , he was truly happy and more educated when they went to the bronx and met the gods. He had that child like love and enthusiasm for hip hop hes not all ” im too cool ” –ala John Brown ‘Im so hood so raw i can beat you up ” — ala Persia ,”im the next new wave radical” ala–whoever that mohawk guy s name was. Shamrock always showed up when it was time to rhyme ,and if you paid attention on some episodes he coached some of the others to do better which is cool, it shows he respects the art enough that he dont wanna see others around him doing it wrong even in competition. and most importantly- he has heart. None of the other contestants got all of those characteristics in one.

And You thinking JB should’ve won because of some superficial thing like catch phrases is exactly why you’ll never understand hiphop, why you suck, get no props, have no skills and should STFU in hip hop discussions NO MATTER HOW SMALL.

Its not about clothes catch phrases , looks , toughness, none of that. Its about heart keepin it real and love/respect for the art. If you got that then you can have all the catch phrases rock all the ice, and talk all the ignorance you want cuz real always recognize real. But without it you cant do any of that no ice , no catch phrases, no shit talking (you especially 31.). Get it.

  40. 31 sucks Says:

  41. miles Says:

you all suck john brown is fuckin awesome

    halleluja hollaback

  42. Aero the Apex Slay Text Says:

This interview has already taken place so I’m not going to suggest any questions. I’d like to hear the interview. I think lyric-wise JB is skilled, no doubt. As far as promoting himself etc… he’s done a good job. He’s the most memorable star and has skill therefore making him marketable. King of The Burbs! The burbs have been waiting for a representative! He should’ve kept it at “King of The Burbz” though. LOL “Hallelujah Holla Back” you may hear religions complain & “Ghetto Revival” is sensless.

  43. Whoknows Myname Says:

yo i dont know if the interview has taken place already or not for a fact, so ill just post my question anyway:

1)Will we see more of the Ghetto Revival?
2)Will we be able to cop some Gheto Revivial apparel if so?
    3)If yes, when and where?
4)Is there a Ghetto Revival website?

  44. PoisonPen 320 Says:

If I had to like somebody out of all of them it was John Brown … and shit to be honest he was better lyrically … I read every body questions …. and um telling you … yall some mugs man …. Every Body’s a critic… and over half are just haters … Lol .. well um from DC … NW to be exact and the only question I have is

    1. J.B. is droppin a record soon … cause I’ll buy his album ..

Man ery body talking about he lame but nobody would has been in that man shoes … that would be like me telling ery body they lame for there comments… but that wouldn’t do good … any who … the guy is alright ..

  45. J Zeon Says:

I hear all these people hating on John Brown. I hear this dude 31 sucks thinking he’s the most well informed person to ever post a blog. First of all who post a 2000 word essay on a blog. Your obviously so ignorant to music that you don’t even know what good music is. You think because your well informed on rap music you can talk shit about everything that isn’t. I know rap, i know rock, i know fuckin Beethoven. I think it’s so funny when anything “white” is viscously hated on. John Brown’s got skills as an MC that 95% of the population will never possess. If ya’ll are so much better, or so much more well informed then why don’t ya’ll quit hating and make something of yourselves

  46. b e z Says:

I’d buy his shit. ask him when his records going to drop!

  47. pilthy Says:

come on car wars what kind of chance did you think you had???

  48. AMBER LYNN Says:

ask him if he wants to marry me :c) lol

hahah yo didnt nebody watch the show? he LOVES the hate… ur doin him a favor rite now … lol =) john browns makin moves, blowin up and probably gettin money…. and the majority of u are sittin here takin time out ur day, to not only READ his blogs, but reply to them, trying to prove ur point that…. he ain’t shit?? he must be doin somethin right..

I heard a lot of bashin towards this dude, and on the real, that goes to show that there is most definitely somethin powerful there. The majority of people are so brain washed and conditioned and tryin to follow the hype, that they are afraid of the truth. They are afraid to accept change. John Brown is a real deep cat, and he is certainly an entity. Oh, that comment about him gettin a dildo shoved in his face and not doing anything about it just shows what type of man he is and demonstrates the the power of a master for not strikin a women. He didn’t have to make a face and, yell and make a scene, cause that shit was beneath him. He knew she was threatend by him and was tryin to prove somethin. It didn’t take his focus the least bit. The dude is grounded. That’s “Master Mind”. That’s very intimidating to the “average”. That’s why Persia attacked him so much, and later the others did too. I’ll admit that throughout the show at times his flow was a off point, but his concepts were genius. A lot of you really can’t feel that cause you ain’t on that level yet. There’s things that you gotta go through and witness in life before you reach that level. When him and Shamrock did they thing at the end, he totally controled that shit. The judges new it and the crowd felt it. He took’em in a zone; a zone where few fear to go. Shamrock did his lil thang, but he sounded like a lot of other mimmicks out here (materialized and meaningless). “What’s the point” in that? Ya’ll need to wake up and GET BACK IN TOUCH wit ya self. John Brown is one of the few messagers that walk this planet and ya better get use to it cause we the next level of music. Words are the unfoldment of creativity and reality, and you should be careful what you listen to.
