Pretty Ricky is one of the many boy bands to hit the scene, but for some reason this group disturbs me. I was chilling and seen my two little cousins watching this video and was thinking damn, If I was watching videos like this when I was ten I might have two kids by now. Then I see these cats on 106 and Park running around with towels on. If this group was for adults then I would have no problem, but they audience is mainly teenage girls that really don’t need to be hearing this. Teenage boys already got too much hormones and seeing this stuff adds fuel to the fire. I can imagine how parents feel when bringing thier kids to the scream tour and seeing this guys do some old school R Kelly impersonations. Sexy vidoes is a major reason kids these days are growing up too fast. Well anyway for fans of the group, their new album, “Late Night Special,” came out Jan. 23rd.

I agree 100. They are getting carried away with alot of stuff. They slip sex in to everything like its cool. Then very little STD HIV ad’s.

Wow, finally someone speaks the truth out! I agree with you, it’s a big problem, wich is growing faster and faster. The youth of today get’s the wrong message out of those songs. And it’s not only in the USA, it’s worldwide! To the previous post, I live in Europe and NO you don’t see cats running around naked on the TV, after a specific time (in my country 00:00 o’clock), TV channels are allowed to show some parts of the human body (wich exclude’s penis and vagina) so you bassically see just breasts, and how would this post help?

I am now a couple of years out of school, and sometimes I visit old friends, and I see little 12 years old girls looking like prostitutes. I wonder what kind of men takes woman like that as his wife? Nowadays it’s really hard to find a woman wich would unselfishly care for your kids, because they rather go party.

I disagree with the comment about Lyfe Jennings and his song S.E.X. I think you should be talking with your daughter about sex and the consequences, however Pretty Ricky is exactly what’s wrong with our youth today. This is where they are getting their information. Radio Stations should be boycotted for playing trash like this.

all the members in the group are grown so its not like their teenagers tryna be grown so therefore they can talk about certain kinds of topics sex being one if youre not a certain age you shouldnt be listen to or watching their videos anyway and as for lyfe jennings song s.e.x it had a message to its something mothers and fathers should be talking about with their own kids which alot of parents dont sit down and talk about with their kids which is why they imitate the behavior off some videos STRUCTURE STARTS AT HOME FIRST

In response to the comment made about the Lyfe Jennings song S.E.X- that song has a really important message and is telling girls not to rush to have sex…so this is the type of song that teenage girls should be listening to, although I do agree that a 2 yr old should be reciting the lyrics.

My question to you brother is….If you think the group is too risque and that they could be leading our teenagers down the wrong road, why would you promote their CD on your website? I check into this site daily because you keep interestin information on here. I had to ask you though, after your entire diatribe on how you (personally) feel about Pretty Ricky, why would you have a link for people to go and buy their album?

this is directed to the one named “AISHA” , the issue isn’t whether Pretty Ricky is “grown” enough to speak on the subject, the issue is that they are being marketed to kids under age 18, and even younger, they are on the scream tour for god sakes!!!..where the aveage age is about 12 years old!!!..they take shyt too far, and no one seems to hold them accountable, props to real talk ny!

Pretty Ricky is not too risque because they talk about sex all through there album. There are plenty artists today that make songs about sex and they are way more explicit than Pretty Ricky’s songs.The fact that there album is available to people under 18 is not really a big issue becuase if you raise your kids right and set the right examples for them and talk to your kids about sex and tell them the appropriate age to do so and explain to them the consequences of doing it soo young im sure that even though they listen to Pretty Ricky’s album they will not influenced by what there songs say.

Those of you getting on the defensive, no-one is disputing that the likes of Jodeci excetra make sexual references but the difference with Pretty Ricky is that they explictly make sexual references with lyrcs like ‘lick you from the front, hit it from the back’ and ‘make you ride it like a Porche’ and their music is marketed at people under the age of 18

I am from the UK and when they are over here they are always doing under 18 events or teenage concerts. Artists that talk about sex that have be mentioned are not marketed for young people and thats the difference. Without realising it young people are going to begin to think that all this sex stuff is okay as it is being aimed at them.

As much as young people need to be educated about sex they don’t need to hear all the details about it the way Pretty Ricky likes to describe. A lot of their content is of an adult nature.

And before some of you begin to say I listen to it and it doesnt make me want to have sex, that is you, not everyone 14 year old thinks like that. Some teenagers may be influenced and that is where the concern lies.

i’m 16 and all i gotta say is that pretty ricky is explicit and that obviously made their first ablum(bluestars) went platinum, second one(late night special) went gold. All that adult like sex talk they doin makin them filthy rich. They aint gon stop do. I hope they do cuz they might do some R. Kelly stuff i.e. 2002 case.
